I Really want hair extensions! Where Do I go to get them[[ and get them put on? Please help?

I have hair down to my sholders. And I want hair extensions that are the length that are on my chest. The same hair length as Miley Cyrus[[example]] So where can I get them? and get them put on?

I Really want hair extensions! Where Do I go to get them[[ and get them put on? Please help?

You need to call a salon in your area. There are two types.

The first type involves gluing hair into your own hair. It does damage your hair when removing it. Some hairstylists will say you can just use a solvent and that they will easily come out. That however is not true. Your natural hair will sustain damage, quite a bit actually.

The second type is a product that is getting more and more popular and is any good stylists choice over the glue in version. The are called "LOCKS" they match your hair color perfectly and there are little tiny bands that hold the hair in place when clamped into your own hair. They don't damage the natural hair at all.

I had a good experience with them. After a stylist cut off all of the length of my hair I went and saw Paul at Christophe's Salon in Las Vegas @ the MGM. He did a beautiful job. They are expensive however. Costing $3000.00.

Look on the website lasvegaslocks, I think thats the name.

You have to re adjust the locks every 2 months at an additional cost. Usually a per hour fee. The first session takes several hours, 3 to4 at least. Good Luck, don't get cheap extensions you'll regret it.

u get clip on one in the salons and are so easy to put on

I Really want hair extensions! Where Do I go to get them[[ and get them put on? Please help?

i dont think you should.

They look tacky and cheap, and your real hair always stands out...as it starts to flick out ( unless you constantly carry straighteners with you)

and you can see easily at the top where they are clipped in!!

BIG mistake, i think

...but...if you wanna do it.....go for it ! :)

I Really want hair extensions! Where Do I go to get them[[ and get them put on? Please help?

A word of advice:

Get the clip on hair extensions. The ones that are glued or braided into your hair or however they do it, can be very very very very very very very harmful to your hair and can result in traction alopecia and your hair may never grow back. Victoria Beckham has traction alopecia from extensions and it is very common.

The clip in ones look just as good and you can wear them whenever you want and take them out whenever you want.

You can get them at Sally's Beauty and they come in a variety of colors, and you can eve dye or highlight them, they are 100% human hair.

I Really want hair extensions! Where Do I go to get them[[ and get them put on? Please help?

Well, since you have shoulder length hair and you're waiting for it to grow, I'd suggest clip-in hair extensions that you can buy at any Sally's Beauty Supply store. They're about $30 and they last forever. What's so great about the clip-in extensions is that they come on and off, so if you want to take a shower or go to sleep comfortably, they pop right out.

But, if you're stuck on the typical glue-in extensions, Sally's carries them too. They have the hair in a package and you can buy the glue there, as well. You can wither bring your supplies to a beauty salon who will do the work for you, or you can take them home and apply them yourself.

What's really great about Sally's is that they have almost every single type of hair color there and many different lengths.

Hope I've helped!

your best bet would be a professional. It may cost alot( I dont know the price range) just look into it

Hair extensions ??

I'd really like to learn how to put in hair extensions. I'm going to buy the supplies and have my bestfriend do them for me.

I'd go to a salon but here in miami its wayyy to expensive. "/

I don't want to do the glue nor the braiding one.

If you know how please help =)

What supplies do I need ?

%26amp;%26amp; how step by step.

Thank you

Hair extensions ??

I've put some together for my friend twice. You need to first buy the extensions- you can go to any beauty supply store around you that sell them, they range from about $30-$150. While your there you need to buy:

*string

*clips

*needle

They should be near the extensions

When you get home take the extensions out and I would fold it in half to double it up becuase one strand is very thin. Cut the strand from almost ear to ear so it's the full length of your head. Then you will need to put a clip on each end (and the middle if you like- it is more secure) and use the needle and thread to attach the clip to the hair. Just make sure the clip is facing the right way so the comb part is facing outwards towards you not the hair. After you do all this just clip them in and out of your hair whenever you want to wear them or not! I say this way is easier because it lasts wayy longer than getting them professionally, and its a lot less expensive! Good luck extensions changes your look completely!

Sally's Hair Extensions??

If anyone knows of the store Sally's, could you pleaseee tell me how many packs of hair extensions [clip in] I should get for slightly thicker hair? Would one pack be enough?

Sally's Hair Extensions??

Ive seen their bags of fake hair and it looks just that.......... really fake

like some type of nylon fabric

Sally's Hair Extensions??

One is plenty if you are just looking for volume (you're talking about the EuroNext clip in, right?). Make sure the length is right for you, they are a little short on the extensions side.

Sally's Hair Extensions??

one pack is plenty...

Sally's Hair Extensions??

well they don't come with the clips on the hair. you have to put them on yourself. there hair packets come in one long hair line and you have to cut it and glue or sew the clips on yourself.

Sally's Hair Extensions??

one pack is perfect! and they are awesome..they do not look fake AT ALL!

nobpdy ever knows..worth every penny :)

Recommendations on hair extensions?

I am pondering the idea of purchasing some hair extensions... the kind you can clip in, like Jessica Simpson's brand. Have you tried them? Can you recommend anything to me? My hair is baby fine and blond and a few inches past my shoulders.

Thanks.

Recommendations on hair extensions?

Yes, go for it! You'll love what you can do with them.

Jessica Simpson's Hairdo clip in extensions is a good brand. There are many colors available. When selecting a color, keep in mind, an exact match may not be possible. Try blending a color that is slightly lighter or darker than your own hair, as it is likely to look more natural and will add depth and variance to your color. You can also get a color ring first to help you choose the right one.

You can choose between synthetic or human hair extensions. Jessica Simpson's brand offers both. The synthetic ones are much less expensive and a good place to start. Human extensions are great because the will look more natural and you can do more with them to customize them.

There are some good how-to videos and info at this site: http://clipinhairextensions.weebly.com/

Recommendations on hair extensions?

umm your on the right track Jessica Simpson's brand is good i havent tryed them but lol there Jessica Simpson's brand there good.. i want clip in extenstions as well but i dont know if she makes black ones like darker hair color tones

Trouble with hair extensions?

i brought some hair extensions a few weeks ago but the trouble is when i put the in u can tell i am wearing them. u can see my real hair plz help

Trouble with hair extensions?

You have to buy the type of hair that is the closest to texture as your real hair. Getting a perm right before adding your extensions can help also. If you don't want your real hair showing, you may want to try a quick weave.

Trouble with hair extensions?

get it done by a professional

What type of hair extensions should I get and how much should I pay?

I don't know the difference between the hair extensions that braid in tracks and the fusion bonded ones. What's the best way? And why do the prices vary from $600-2500!!! I want to have long blonde hair but I don't want to ruin my short blonde hair to get it...Help!

What type of hair extensions should I get and how much should I pay?

It seems to be a very expensive procedure, but also a worthwhile one to some women. They also seem to cause damage to your hair. Those links at the bottom will tell you more.

What type of hair extensions should I get and how much should I pay?

get natural hair, hoever no matter how they are attatched, its uncimfortable for maybe the first week.

and it is a commitment you have to be sure you are able to afford just like retouching your roots with haircoloring. the average price is about $700.00 and will depend on how fast you hair grows, you will need to go back in and get them reatached.

I dont thinks its worth the time nor money.

They do make your natural hair to break in certain areas.

Can I dye my hair extensions?? (PLEASE)?

So I just got some blonde hair extensions off ebay. It says that they are real hair and you can dye them. I want to dye them more my color AND dye the tips turqoise. Can I do that or will I ruin the hair extensions? If so how should I dye them? PLEASE!

Can I dye my hair extensions?? (PLEASE)?

If they are human hair you should be able to dye them without any problems.

Can I dye my hair extensions?? (PLEASE)?

yeah u canu can dye the ones from beauty store too

my friend does polka dots and stripes

they look awesome

Can I dye my hair extensions?? (PLEASE)?

well i suggest that you get them dyed instead of having them dyed by urself. but you can do it by ur self..... it might look bad depending on what ur hair color is if you do it ur self. but glad i could if i helped

Can I dye my hair extensions?? (PLEASE)?

If they are real hair you should be able to do anything you do to real hair to them. Cut a small bit off one of them and test it! don't COLOR them then do the tips. do it at the same time. keeping the color off the turquoise just butting the 2 together.

Can I dye my hair extensions?? (PLEASE)?

well, i guess its best to go to hair salon to get it dyed, view 88db website for list of good and reliable hair salons and hair stylists who can dye your hair extension

How much will it cost for hair extensions up to the middle of my chest if my hair is up to my should

i've been through a lot of trouble with my hair because it broke out, so i had to cut it. now it's really short, up to my shoulders. i wonder how much it'll cost if i want the hair extensions up to the middle of my chest? i also want human hair and the healthy way to put on the hair extensions. help please! =\

How much will it cost for hair extensions up to the middle of my chest if my hair is up to my shoulders now?

If you want really good hair to be added in expect to pay $400 or more. I wouldn't recommend sewn in extesion unless u have ethnic hair. Ethnic hair is alot stronger and can handle the weight of sewn in extensions. Pre bonded extensions are great if hey are done right. Call around and find a professional that has a license to use the best hair. FYI cinderella hair sucks.

How much will it cost for hair extensions up to the middle of my chest if my hair is up to my shoulders now?

Hair extensions are fun, but can be expensive and damaging. If you're wanting to use Human Hair, alot of places charge hundreds of dollars for it. I've had friends that have spent up to 1200 dollars to get their hair done! I've also heard of it being as cheap as 300. It can also be damaging, so you'll want to make sure you're dealing with a competant stylist (which is pricey). First off, they could braid it into your hair but that it's painful and takes a long time, or they could glue it in. It's not as easy as it sounds. If the stylist isnt careful, the glue can be damaging in the long run. I know a girl who is bald in certan areas of her head, from the glue ripping out her hair.

They can fuse it on, but that again takes a long time, but it's not painful, and not damaging (so ive been told).

My best reccomendation would be to go to a beauty supply (Try sally beauty supply) and buy the extensions yourself. they shouldnt cost you any more than 100 dollars, and then you might be able to find someone to put them in. I highly suggest clipping them in, because its not damaging (at all) and on days where you just don't want to deal with long hair, you don't have to put them in! If you go for the clip in look, take them in to a professional to have them blended (or layered) to look like your hair so that there isnt a dramatic difference between your hair and the extensions.

i wrote a novel, and i hope its helpful lol.

oh by the way, i feel your pain. i cut alot of hair off just a few months ago, but if you eat right and condition your hair well, and dont do anything too damaging it will start growing before you know it.

My hair and extensions!?

How can I match my hair extensions with my hair perfectly without getting them professionally done?

My hair and extensions!?

i think you should get the professionally done

My hair and extensions!?

get human hair and die it all when its all on your head. Or dye your hair the same colour

My hair and extensions!?

usually extensions are a texture totally diff from anyones natural hair. even if its human extensions, the hair is almost soooo perfect that if you get pretty close with the color, the texture is off so its still noticeable. I'd say just try diff brands a colors to see what works

My hair and extensions!?

Dye your hair and extensions the same color.

My hair and extensions!?

It is really important to get a good match with extensions to make them look realistic! There are a few ways of going about this to get a good match without having to get the extensions salon done.

1. You could buy the hair and then get you salon to dye you hair so that it matches. This is cheaper than getting the extensions matched surprisinly!

2. Some places offer a service where you send off a snip it of you hair and they will match the colour hair that you buy for you. This works out a cheaper way too.

I love hair extensions - good luck with it all chick! Sure you will look fab!!! :)

My hair and extensions!?

Have your friend to go shopping with you who have an eye for color shade. I am no expert with color shade matching.

My hair and extensions!?

buy the extension then let some one put it for u then die the hair

I want to get hair extensions. how bad is it for your hair?

i an worried if i get extensions it will ruin my hair. i cant really afford the $100 ones i have to get the ones you put on yourself. so what really happens will hair extensions?

I want to get hair extensions. how bad is it for your hair?

i think u shuld just get the clip ins. they're not as expensive and u can take em off an put em on wenever. trust me...u dont want to put stuff lik that on ur hair. its hard to see in the back..and u might get the glue everywhere, and ur hair'll be uneven.. then everyone will notice how bad/fake ur hair is. i don't suggest hair extentions unless u got money for the realli good kind. where they glue mini bunches everywhere. trust me.. i got mine for 400$ an they werent too great..mayb for the first 2 weeks. and its a hassal. and not to mention wen i took em out...i had major hair loss. the person tht i kno that actually has nice hair ext. paid abt 1500$ for em...evry 3 months.

I want to get hair extensions. how bad is it for your hair?

Unless your hair is like totally bad and uneven or it is really short it's not even worth it. Plus it totally ruins your hair! DON"T DO IT!!!

I want to get hair extensions. how bad is it for your hair?

Dont!

Buy the 50$ clip in ones. I have them but they dont look like clip ins becuase you cant even ee the clip, it looks better, and if you dont like them you can take them out without screwing your hair up.

I want to get hair extensions. how bad is it for your hair?

well, i know people who have gotten hair extensions and they do fall out sometimes... they are a rip off!! my bff's sis got them for $80 and some of them fell out in 2 weeks so she had to pay another $80 to get more!!! my advice is do NOT get hair extensions!!!

I want to get hair extensions. how bad is it for your hair?

it depends on how you get it put in your hair, but if you want the most healthiest way, you cant be cheap or you will get what you pay for. if you cant afford it, dont take no chances on something that not a necessity. p.s. i am a cosmetologist and i work with hair extentions all the time!!!

I want to get hair extensions. how bad is it for your hair?

no it wont really harm your hair but dont put it in all the time....and if you dont kno how to put one in then just go to the professionals

What hair salon does hair extensions in LA?

I wanna get hair extensions but it seems that no hair salon does them. Anyone know about where i can get them done in LA?

What hair salon does hair extensions in LA?

I want permanent hair extensions does anyone know were to get them in Calgary???

i live in calgary alberta and i want extensions.

does anyone know were to get them.?

and what kind of extensions are not to hard on hair?

and what are the prieces ? already have the clip extensions

I want permanent hair extensions does anyone know were to get them in Calgary???

yes i got them at a salon in kensington called Macaronies. the name is a bit weird but they are really good and they have the best extensions. the look like its your real hair, and they are comfortable. permanent extensions are never really permanent. they stay in for at least 6 months and its totally worth it. they use a keratin bond to attach each piece to your hair so it doesnt damage your hair and it doesnt make your hair fall out. its pretty expensive but you would have to make an appointment and have a consultation to see how much it would be for you because the price varies.

macaronies phone number is 270-3452. i got them done by Renae.

I want permanent hair extensions does anyone know were to get them in Calgary???

Yeah but be careful because if they ever come out your hair will be very weak and brittle. And the outgrowth grows in thin and it's really not like your hair. So idk I would just wait to grow it out myself. Really all extensions are hard on hair. Prices can range anywhere. But good luck!

Can you bleach hair extensions?

I have some blonde extensions, which are bleach blonde. The same colour as my hair now, but i want to bleach my hair to white/platinum. Do you think i could do my extensions to?

its not that much of a change but i was just wondering if anyone new?

thanks :) x

Can you bleach hair extensions?

if your hair extensions are horse hair then yes, if its syntetic no. so if you can straighten an curlt them without them singein or meltin then its probably horse hair an you can bleach it

Can you bleach hair extensions?

you can do anything to your extensions that you can do to your hair, just treat it like its your hair

Can you bleach hair extensions?

yep you can. i bleached my extensions like.. 3 times. =]]

Can you bleach hair extensions?

yes you can

Making Euronext 100% premium remy hair extensions last??

I bought them for 140$ (on sale) and I LOVE them. They're awesome I can straighten my regular hair and then put them in everyone says they look like my real hair, however they seem to be splitting at the ends and looking damaged now. The hair is breaking off and stuff. I want to take care of them soo I need some tips if anyone has any for preserving hair extensions and how to keep them looking nice. These are my first extensions so I don't know a lot, and its probably my fault anyways for the damage, due to brushing i think, i just need some tips. Thanks.

Making Euronext 100% premium remy hair extensions last??

i'm assuming they are 100% real human hair since I have Remy hair extensions as well....I use a shine spray or placenta oil on them after washing them....remember they dont get oil from your scalp that your "real hair" is getting.

My friend made hair extensions, how?

my friends hair extensions look so real and she made them herself. how do you make hair extensions yourself?

My friend made hair extensions, how?

I find it hard to believe that she actually made them herself. That's a little gullible on your part.

My friend made hair extensions, how?

It is quite possible to make your own extensions. My friend makes her own and has given me lessons. If you wish I can recommend you a few websites on how to make them and some tips of using and taking care of them. Report It

My friend made hair extensions, how?

SHE AINT MAKE THEM HERSELF SHE BOUGHT IT FROM THE BEAUTY STORE

My friend made hair extensions, how?

My friend also had hair extensions for a shampoo comercial.. they attached the (real)hair to her sculp.. no pain, no hair gain.. lol.. but i think there are other procedures too..

My friend made hair extensions, how?

Ask your friend her trick! There are many types of hair extensions ranging from individual hairs to big chunks you pin in. A very simple way to make hair extensions is to purchase some fake hair (yaki, or such) from Sally's or other public hair salon quality product providers. You can glue, sew, or how ever you want to attach the hair to bobbi pins, hair clips, or hair ties.

My friend made hair extensions, how?

She didn't. She bought them. Its impossible to make hair extensions yourself.

I want to get hair extensions?

but I don't know what to do exactly......I have a little above shoulder length hair and I'm tired of it. I plan on getting my hair colored with extensions too. I think I should do the clip in ones right? and how much will it cost if I want human hair extensions probably a bit longer than my chest....?

I want to get hair extensions?

No, keep your hair like that, just put brown or blonde highlights in your hair,.........ITS GREAT!

I want to get hair extensions?

welll my sister inlaw got extensions and they were like $400 or $500 dollars. they would've stayed in for a long time but she took them out. clip on ones will prob. fall out

I want to get hair extensions?

Clip in extensions are great as you can put them in and out of the hair as and when you need them. They don't cause the damage of bonded/glued in extensions, and are a fraction of the cost.

Hair extensions work best on hair that is layered, for giving you the most natural blend with your own hair

Clip in extensions start at 鎷?0.00 and go up to 鎷?9.95

The higher the cost, the better the quality and the thickness of the hair.

You would need around 18" in length to take it a bit longer than the chest

I want to get hair extensions?

you can get clip in ones but possibly a better option is gluing them in. you can buy clip in extensions and glue from sally's, if you've got one near you. if you wanted to glue them in, you can do this by cutting the clips off and gluing the hair in, section by section.

some markets sell human hair by the roll and it's usually much better quality and far cheaper than sally's. a roll from a market in nottingham costs about 鎷?0, and is enough for extensions for at least two people.

ask around, finding the markets is difficult sometimes but worthwhile. for clip in or glue in extensions, i'd recommend getting at least four layers. some people go with two or three but i personally find it to be less realistic and authentic, especially if you have fairly thick hair.

four layers will probably set you back about 鎷?0 if you buy 100% human. from a market, probably about 鎷?0-鎷?0.

i'd personally go with gluing in. if you do decide to go with clip ins, i'd recommend cutting them into different sections and then clipping them in. that way, your hair has a more natural movement and you can wear it up without the whole wig effect.

if you want to save money, and also wear clip ins, you can buy by the roll and then sew the clips onto the hair. it's much easier than it sounds, and you'd be saving a lot of money.

you can't sleep in clip ins, but they're easier to style than glue ins because you can do it before putting them in to wear. you'll probably want to thin out the extensions at the bottom, or cut them to length, so ask someone who's good at cutting hair, or if you trust your own skills, do it yourself.

whoever said you'd need 15 or 18" ( i can't remember which was said) may be wrong, you'd probably only need about 12". bear in mind some of the hair will be attatched to the bottom of your head, so the length should be estimated from there.

practice makes perfect, if your hair initally looks bad, keep trying. i've said all of the prices in 鎷?so for $ just half whatever i've said and it'll probably be around that area.

so about $40 ish dollars for a full head of clip in extensions i'm guessing.

this is a good tutorial: http://community.livejournal.com/madradh...

good luck!

also: "They don't cause the damage of bonded/glued in extensions, and are a fraction of the cost." wrong - DIY glue in extensions are cheaper than clip ins, and if you do them right, there's hardly any damage.

How much would hair extensions cost on average?

How much would non expensive, non big brand name hair extensions cost?? i have hair just below my shoulders n i want the length of the extensions to be up to the middle of my back. How much do ppl think on average would this cost in aussie dollars??

How much would hair extensions cost on average?

I dont know how much in aussie dollars but i can tell you in us dollars. You might want to try at least 18 inches to see where that falls. That's what i buy. I buy different brands. I go Milky Way human hair. It's a mid price brand costing any where from $20-50 a bundle depending on the length. I stay in the hood so they sell half bundles also. I use about 1 and a 1/2 of 18 inch bundle to get full locks down to the middle of my back. U might can try Urban Beauty or Premium Now human hair brands which are cheaper brands. But i have to warn you. You get what u pay for and the cheaper hair sheds. Now if you want something that will last only a day or two and want it cheap. You might want to try synthetic hair or a wig. Just make sure who apply your extensions know what they doing. I am a weaveologist (lol). You cant tell where my tracks begin and my hair ends (thx to ceramic irons and good sewing techniques). Good luck!

How much would hair extensions cost on average?

five hairs for a nickel...

How much would hair extensions cost on average?

Are you sure you want hair extensions? People can always spot the "tell-tale" ridge where the real hair ends and the extensions carry on. Think twice before you go ahead.

How much would hair extensions cost on average?

k dont do them urself! trust me! my friend did that and ****** up her hair and had to cut all of it except a few inches off!! get it done by a pro! which should cost about $1000

I would like to get hair extensions. I have short hair. Should I?

I want to but I am worried what my family and people at work will say. If someone turned up to your work with hair extensions, would you be surprised? Maybe I could hide them under a hat. I want to look conservative. Would it look natural and nice and is it best to go your own hair colour or can you go lighter or darker?

I would like to get hair extensions. I have short hair. Should I?

Hi im a hairdresser and i say go for it but only if your willing to fork out for good quality hair extentions you can get them dont cheaply and they will look cheap and nasty and wont last or look natural to get good natural looking extentions your looking at atleast $800 plus but then you dont just get them and thats it you have to go back every few months to maintain them so if your going to get them done then be prepared it pretty expensive hope it helps

I would like to get hair extensions. I have short hair. Should I?

why would you want to get a hair extension. Just take sometime to wait for your hair to grow longer naturally. Hair extension is not good for hair health and why would you do while you think after that you must hide under a hat. Be confident with your short hair now. I believe it looks good:-)

I would like to get hair extensions. I have short hair. Should I?

They may suprised seeing you with long hair. If people have a problem with hair extensions, just shrug it off.

Its your hair and your the one thats wearing it, so make sure you are comfortable with it.

I wouldn't be suprised, I'd think it would be great.

It'll look natural, if the hair extension method is done correctly and well done. With hair extensions you can choose whatever colour you wish to get done. So thats up to you. I'd recommend human hair, not synthetic. Human hair, obviously will be natural. Look for hair thats 'European, Indian, Remy'. Or 'Chinese, Asian, Japanese etc' hair if you are Asian etc

I'd recommend micro rings. They look natural and are easier to maintain and last longer. Unlike glue in's, which can also damage you hair and leave a messy mess when taking them out.

Or, what you could do...is invest in Clip In hair extensions. They're temporary. You can put them in whenever and take them out whenever you feel like it.

I would like to get hair extensions. I have short hair. Should I?

2 types of hair - symthetic and human hair.

symthetic hair is basically barbie hair and human hair is self explained.

3 systems - clip in, glue/bonded, sewn/weaved.

clip in - wefts of hair with clips on and u clip in place, usually made of human hair and can look very natural.

glue/bonded - glued hair is wefts of hair cut to size and glued in, glue tends to damage hair. bonded is extensions tht have applied by heating the keratin bond on the end of extension, then attached to small section of your hair. both types can damage hair if not applied, cared for or removed properly. also have to b careful on what products u use to wash ur hair with as certain types can weaken glue or bonds. these can look very natural.

sewn/weave - ur hair is braided then strips of hair r sewn in. can look very natural, good for if u wanna give ur hair a "break" as its not exposed to the daily elements so hair can grow. can cuase damage if hair pulled to tightly during braiding but less likely to cause damage. no chemicals and no need to use special shampoo's.

if u have short hair/just above shoulder length i recommend using the bonded 1s as these will look more natural for your hair length. all extensions can look natural.

Stores that sell human hair extensions?

My friend just chopped off alot of her hair and she doesen't really like it, so she asked me to make her some clip in extensions. But the only ones that I can find are short, and if they're long then their for fusion or micro-link. So can you give me a brand and a store that sell longer ones, that aren't much over $30.00-45.00ish? [the price is just for the hair because I already have the clips.]

Stores that sell human hair extensions?

i bought some from sally's last year they were around $60-$70 dollars though! =[ the only other place i think you can get REAL human hair would be online. i looved my hair extensions they were soo soft and i thought they were worth the money! they already have the clips ON them though... i'm pretty sure they have another kind without clips for way cheaper, so i would check there!

Stores that sell human hair extensions?

im not that sure..i would try sally's and good luck find them under $45

Stores that sell human hair extensions?

Chinese owned "Hair World" has so many selections of weave it's unreal.

Caring for EasiXtend Hair Extensions?

I've just received my EasiXtend (16-inch synthetic) clip in extensions and I can't wait to put them in tonight.

After I've worn them and take them out, how do I care for them? Can I wash them every time I use them?

Since the EasiXtend are synthetic and just the clip ins, I'm hoping if they'll hold up better than the more permanet extensions I've had put in before (Remi hair/ring clamp/I-tip extrensions). Hoping some of you can clue me in as to what steps I can can take to keep the extensions looking and feeling like they do fresh out of the box?

Thanks!

Caring for EasiXtend Hair Extensions?

There should be some care instructions on the packaging. Synthetic hair can be tricky. You can't apply heat because it might melt. I know you have to wash it in cold water..

Why would any girl wear hair extensions??? That's cheating!?

Or weaves or that sort of thing... hell-O! It's called growing out your own hair. I think it's cheating to have like an ugly shoulder-length bob or even short hair, and then pretend to have long, pretty hair down to your waist.

Fake hair is sooooo gross. Grow your OWN!

I understand if someone is bald due to illness and needs to wear a wig, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about girls with bad hair who cheat and fool everyone with their 'nice, beautiful' 'hair' (extensions!)

Why would any girl wear hair extensions??? That's cheating!?

I once knew a girl whose extensions were half the width of her real hair and it was in those really thin braids. It looked like worms getting skinnier and skinnier as they went toward the tip. And it was expensive too. Thats why guys dont do that stuff.

And to the first person who answered this question, How can somebody get sooo upset over hairextensions. I can understand if it was a religious question but hair?

Why would any girl wear hair extensions??? That's cheating!?

You know something interesting....

Those who bash others on what they do to look better and get more confidence in themselves, obviously don't have a problem in that category. It's easy for you to open your mouth and release all that sh** when you have no idea what it's like to be in another person's shoes.

Why would any girl wear hair extensions??? That's cheating!?

Why should it matter to you if a girl choose to wear hair extensions. If she feels it make her happier about her self image, then she should go for it! Don't be upset because you feel that girls with hair extensions have hairstyles that are prettier than your natural hair. It does a soul good to be able to give a compliment! You should try it sometimes.

Why would any girl wear hair extensions??? That's cheating!?

What about those that dye their gray roots? They are cheating too?

Why would any girl wear hair extensions??? That's cheating!?

OMG! i hate hair extensions big waste of time

Why would any girl wear hair extensions??? That's cheating!?

I guess they're trying to feel better about themselves, because to them having long hair is beautiful. Some I like, but not the ones that you can tell are totally fake. It does look nice on some Ladies though, if it's done professionally.

About growing their own hair, everyone has a different texture of hair, some hair might take a little longer to grow or not grow at all.

Why would any girl wear hair extensions??? That's cheating!?

Don't hate.... love.

Almost every female celebrity on TV has hair extensions... and it looks pretty!

How about we all walk around naked because we were not born with clothes? huh?

See, how flawed your logic is? Besides, Its called fashion dear, and fashion has NO boundaries whatsoever.

Are jessica simpson hair extensions good?

have you tried her new hair do hair extensions line?does she have 23'' extensions too?

Are jessica simpson hair extensions good?

Extensions always wind up ruining you hair in the long run.

Are jessica simpson hair extensions good?

i guess

Are jessica simpson hair extensions good?

I don't think so I think you can tell where her real hair cuts off from her extensions and to me they look like two different colors. Extensions are never a good idea they are to much work. They always look fake unless you spend a fortune. They are fake and I don't like that and most guys don't either. They hurt your hair. I wouldn't get them.

Are jessica simpson hair extensions good?

I heard hair extensions hurt your scalp- especially if you get them glued on.

Hair extensions cost and looks?

should i buy the fake hair extensions in the store( that is cheaper)?

or should i spend alot of money on getting it done professionally at the salon?

will it look fake? how much would it cost?

Hair extensions cost and looks?

get clip ins ! i have them. and theyre like 60$ for a whole set of human hair so you can like dye it and stuff. :)

Hair extensions cost and looks?

for the THIRD time today, here's a repost:

Your options are, from least to most expensive, as follows:

Clip in

Glue in

Sew In

Fusions

Clip ins are absolutely temporary, they're not good for fine hair, they slip out fairly easily, midrange in price (think around $100-150 but are reusable).

Glue ins can last up to a few weeks, but usually only last a few days depending on how oily your scalp is, how often you wash your hair, and how rough you are styling it. They're about $60 - $90 to put in, and you'll need 2 packs of hair (at $30 a pack)

Sew ins last several weeks. Braids are made across the head and tracks of hair are sewn into the braids. It's a little uncomfortable for the first few days, but they look much more natural than clip ins and last longer than glue ins. It'll cost you around $100 to have them sewn in, and you'll need 2 packs of hair.

Fusions are MOST expensive and are longer lasting, but done improperly can damage your hair. Strands are fused to your real hair at the scalp. You have to bring your own hair, amount depends on how much hair you want fused in. It usually starts around $200 and take the majority of the day to put in.

Hair extensions cost and looks?

no don't my mom did and it messed up her hair real bad

Best kind of hair extensions for a guy?

What would be the best kind of hair extensions for a guy to wear? Are there cheaper ways of trying out hair extensions to see if you like them first before paying a lot more money out?

Best kind of hair extensions for a guy?

I don't think fake hair looks good on anyone male or female

Best kind of hair extensions for a guy?

You're kidding ... right?

Best kind of hair extensions for a guy?

none

Best kind of hair extensions for a guy?

dont just grow ur own hair... guys with their own natural hair is so much better lookin then a guy with fake hair

Best kind of hair extensions for a guy?

1st off you have to have at least a few inches of your own hair to attach the hair extensions to. 2nd, to answer your question, hair locs/ or bead locs (small beads that attach extensions to your own hair strand-by-strand) would be best for you (a guy.) Theyre made by great lenghts and Rockstar and I'm sure some other companies as well. Many salons now use this method, so just call around. The attachments are tiny, and hardly noticible. Thats why I think it would be the best method for you. 3rd, ive had sew-in, glue-in, and hair locs on my own hair several times, so i know what i'm talking about.

Great Lengths Hair Extensions--anxiety?

I just got a full head of Great Lengths hair extensions and love them but find myself constantly worried that when they all come out my hair is going to be very broken and damaged. I have two little sons and have already been swimming with them in our pool and was constantly worried about being in the water. Just every day things like wind and rain and sleeping. Basically, how easy is it for hair to be pulled out or get damaged with GL? I'm finding that the anxiety is actually worse than having them in.

Thanks so much!

~Amy

Great Lengths Hair Extensions--anxiety?

Maintaining these extensions is as easy as maintaining your own hair. A mild shampoo or the Great Lengths shampoo is recommended. Always use a soft bristle brush. You cannot use dandruff shampoo with Great Lengths hair extensions, because the sulfur in the shampoo breaks down the bonds.

Because extensions cost so much I recommend having them checked periodically at the salon. In addition, check your local beauty supply shop for any "up-keep" material. Good Luck !!

Is it rude to ask someone if they are wearing hair extensions/wig?

My hair has been falling out due to a medication that I take. I blend in hair extensions to my real hair sometimes.......or now that it has gotten really bad I wear wigs. One day I wore a long blonde wig to a meeting I go to. One person commented "Your hair looks nice!" I said thank you. That was a nice comment and they did not comment if it was fake or not. However, another guy said "Are those extensions? Because I can tell." It was actually a wig. Isn't that rude for a guy to ask if a woman is wearing hair extensions? I hate how attention is always brought to my hair......Then everyone around him looked at my hair closely........It sucks that I have no hair......And it just makes it worse when these people always comment "You changed your hair!" (I wear different wigs so some days I will have brown and some days blonde) Can't they respect that my hair has fallen out and I have to wear wigs? Isn't it rude to ask if your hair is fake? Isn't it like asking a womanifherweddingringisfake?

Is it rude to ask someone if they are wearing hair extensions/wig?

You're a brave and admirable person Ashlie. You've chosen to keep your medical condition to yourself and maintain professional dignity and that's why your work associates are a little confused by your changing hairstyles. Men are trained to notice changes to women's hair. If they don't notice they are in trouble. And if they do notice, they're not particularly good at mentioning it the right way.

I'm so sorry your hair has fallen out. I work in a hospital where wigs and scarves are the order of the day.

It's nothing like asking if your wedding ring is fake. Your hair is just a part of your outward appearance; your soul and strength and personality is what matters.

I wish you all the best.

Is it rude to ask someone if they are wearing hair extensions/wig?

You are absolutely right. It is rude. When asked, reply..."Why would you ask me that?" It puts the ball back in their court without you being rude.

Is it rude to ask someone if they are wearing hair extensions/wig?

Yes that is totally rude behavior.

Is it rude to ask someone if they are wearing hair extensions/wig?

I think its rude especially if other people are around. He could at least ask quietly when you're alone if he wanted to know that bad.

Jessica Simpson hair extensions?!?

Allo...

alright so i am really considering buying the 21'' human hair extensions from jessica simpson.

does anyone have any comments...adive. concenrs about the product?!

Jessica Simpson hair extensions?!?

its clip in how can you go wrong. be careful with doing things to it (straighten curl) there not super durable, if you want curls, and straight, buy both sets, not just the one, and prettymuch you have your hair to match the extensions, they dont come in very natural colours. but on the odd chance your hair is that colour, or your dying it, go for it.like i said there clip in. its hard to go wrong

Help CLIP IN HAIR EXTENSIONS!?

ive got clip in hair extensions and u lift the hair up and put em in layers yes but i was woundering if theres a way to get them on the outside of ur hair? so its like coming down over your hair

Help CLIP IN HAIR EXTENSIONS!?

It would not look natural if you were to clip them OVER your hair. They are meant to be worn underneath.

to the second reponder.... CLIP IN extensions will not damage your hair... it's the same as wearing a head band.

Help CLIP IN HAIR EXTENSIONS!?

dont put the hair extentions on! it's been proven that the really mess up your hair in the long run,it damages it!better off not wearing them

Hair Extensions????

Do guys like girls with hair extensions??? Ive had them one before and seriously you cant tell at all...

Hair Extensions????

It really depends on how you look in them. How long they are and what color they are. Extentions can look really tacky and fake, but some look excellant and totally believable. Just like all girls dont like the same thing on guys, not all guys like extensions. But some will! If i were I wouldnt do it so guys like it do it for you!

Hair Extensions????

NOOOO DONT DO IT

Hair Extensions????

Yes as long as it looks natural...no barbie hair...I have clip in hair extensions that are human hair and can be dyed to match my exact color....other than that it can look tacky...be careful!

Hair Extensions????

Some do....... it depends on how you look in them. Zac Efron dated Ashley Tisdale.... and she wears extensions. If your hair is short, make sure your extensions are medium. If your hair is medium ( about mid shoulder) then wear longer ones. And make sure it is your hair color....... otherwise it would look kinda weird :-)

Hair Extensions????

eww its gross and you can tell if someone is wering them. its just not natural. gor your own hair and buy products to make your hair fuller

Hair Extensions????

they loooove when hair looks hollywood-ish, but they also like it when you switch it up, i would suggest the clip-on extensions designed by Jessica Simpson %26amp; Ken Paves, also long is always the bset for trying to impress guys! (trust me i know!)

Hair Extensions????

who really cares about what guys like??

do what YOU like...its UR head thats gonna be carrying it

if u like it...do it

if u think it looks good on u....KEEP IT

Hair Extensions????

bad idea. my friend got them and now her hair is so messed up that she had to cut it really short. bad bad idea..

My clip-in Hair extensions....??Please tell me what you may know!!?

I bought some clip-in hair extensions in June(about 2 %26amp; a half months ago) The brand is Hollywood Silk Hair and it is 100% human hair, a golden blonde color.

Here is my problem: When I clip them in and walk around outside, at the mall or just in someones home, they get so tangled!! I constantly have to brush them. So, I thought washing them, blow drying and straightening them with a flat iron would prevent them from getting tangled. It DID NOT!! I was thinking about soaking them in conditioner?? Or maybe buying some fancy hair conditioner??... but what type will help?? What else can I do??

Thank you!! :)

My clip-in Hair extensions....??Please tell me what you may know!!?

funky monky said it best. also you can try my fav product on your current extensions, "flat iron and shine spray" by tigi. part of their s factor line. the oils in this spray will help a bunch with the knots. you can get it at your local salon or ulta if you have one by you

My clip-in Hair extensions....??Please tell me what you may know!!?

there is a difference between human hair and human tangle free. I know its costly but I would get new extensions. You know there are easy to make at home. They sell the clips, hair, needles, thread, everything at sally's. And its only $30 for a bag of human tangle free 18" long hair, lol.

HAIR EXTENSIONS question?

ok heres the deal i need to now these things about hair extensions...

1. how long do they last?

2.how much do they cost (usually)

3. does it hurt to get them in?

4.how long does it take?

5 and where is the bes place to get them done??

thank u if u can answer these!!! :)

HAIR EXTENSIONS question?

about 4 weeks if you keep up with them

depends on were you go like what salon

no no really depend on if your getting the braided in if you get the braided track kind make sure it's not braided to tight

no ong at all well depends on if you want your whole head done or ya know just like that back or somethime like that

best place a salon and dont by a pro

What hair extensions should i use??

What type of hair extensions are the best to use (monofibre?real??) and are they best fitted into hair with clips or the glue?

What hair extensions should i use??

Real human-hair extensions are better because they don't melt when you straighten them. Other ones can melt when you straighten/curl them. Clips are good if you only want them in for a few days. I myself use glue when i put extensions in because they last longer that way.

What hair extensions should i use??

I spent 鎷?50 on real hair extentions (Balmain) and for the first few nights they were painful to sleep on, they are so high maintenence you wouldnt believe it. I just couldnt be bothered with them so ended up taking them out. Also they were not as nice a my real hair and my boyfriend hated them as you cant run your fingers through your hair. I would say dont bother wasting your cash - just grow your hair. Mine were glued in.

What hair extensions should i use??

definitly get the clips when you glue them in it rips chunks of your hair out making your hair fell thin and weak and you can be left with chunk of glue in your hair for weeks after and there really itchy when you sew them in

What hair extensions should i use??

The real hair are best really high maintenance and expensive to keep up.

Can you dye Clip in hair extensions from Sally beauty supply?

I'll be getting some Clip in hair extensions at Sally beauty supply, they're blonde and 100% human hair.

I want to know if it's okay to dye theses extensions.

specifically the ones from Sally beauty supply.

if youve dyed the clip in extensions from Sally beauty supply before please tell me about your experience and how the hair turned out. dry? damaged? same? okay? soft?

thanks.

Can you dye Clip in hair extensions from Sally beauty supply?

Yeah! I buy my extensions from there all the time.

Don't dye them constantly though; the dye will stick to them, I had blonde ones and died them hot pink, blue, green, ect. x]

The hair turns out just the same.

Can you dye Clip in hair extensions from Sally beauty supply?

yeah i was wonderin that also cause i changed my natural hair color to brown but now i want it black and i want to dye my hair extensions also. would it damage it and is it safe Report It

Can you dye Clip in hair extensions from Sally beauty supply?

yes it's ok to dye if 100% human hair

Can you dye Clip in hair extensions from Sally beauty supply?

why are you dying your extensions? if you want to put streaks in your hair or something, many beauty supply places (sally included) sell extensions in different colors that you can clip in for the same effect as dying streaks in your hair. unless you just can't find extensions in your hair color, and you want to die them to match. if thats the case, hair dyes probably wont work anyway--- go to a salon .

Hair Extensions or weave?

Hey %26amp; Thanks in advance. Are you Saying something rude? SCREW U! :) LoL Ok...I have beautiful curly locks...I recently got married and my honey moon is coming up..Hair Extensions or Weave?

Hair Extensions or weave?

A weave can look pretty in depends on the person that does it.But yeah weave is better and costs less.

Hair Extensions or weave?

I have glue bond hair extensions.

I love them :]

Hair Extensions or weave?

weave might be less harsh.. the sew in one.

Hair Extensions or weave?

hair extensions

i think it looks more natural

weave is nice to buh extensions just seems more formal

Hair Extensions or weave?

well it all depends.

I mean if you want hair extentions that you can take out and then put in. I recommend those, there a bit pricyer than a sew on weave, but totally worth it

Hair Extensions or weave?

Hair extentions. they dont look as fake as weaves can look.

Hair Extensions or weave?

If you want something temp I would go with extensions. If you want something a little more permanent for a while then a weave. My friend glues his hair in it looks good but doesn't feel that good. If its your honey moon I dont think your hair will be at the top of the list LOL.

Hair Extensions or weave?

Weaving would last longer

Hair extensions... HELP.?

so i have the glue in extensions, and they looked really cute, but i decided to take them out.

i have had one hell of a time trying to comb all the glue out of my hair.

i've tried everything to soften the glue and make it easier to remove, but NOTHING IS WORKING.

any suggestions?

Hair extensions... HELP.?

I had the same problem. I used a removal shampoo for extensions left it on for an hour. I did that like 3 times then I used olive oil to get the rest of the glue off my head. It helped.

Hair extensions... HELP.?

you can buy this glue remover. it's made for removing glue in extentions :) just ask some hair dresser or something :)

Hair extensions... HELP.?

I just removed my mom's last night. Put rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and adjust the nozzle to "stream" (rather than spray). Spray the alcohol directly on the glue, then comb through the section with a fine toothed comb. The glue should come right out. Follow with a clarifing shampoo (I really like pureology) and then a deep conditioner and vua-la!

Hair extensions anyone?

i've always wanted to get hair extensions, but i need to know everything about them....

how much are they?

where can i get really good ones for cheap?

do they look good?

i just want to know everything ....EVERYTHING that you know

Hair extensions anyone?

Where to start, there are three different procedures.#1 cheapest is glue in. This is only a temporary way, like if your going out looks good only for a short and is fairly cheap. #2 Braiding this is the strongest and more permanent method it can cost between 2-8 hundred dollars depending on the hair real vs synthetic and where you get it done. It needs to be tightened up ever 4-6 weeks. These maintenance appts are 50-100 bucks per visit. #3 is an individual strand bonding method it can cost between 1000 and 1500 bucks it is almost undetectable and the strands need to be reinforced as needed and when hair grows out. Extensions are fun but be prepared for high cost maintenance. If you don't spend the money they can look very bad. Good luck!

Hair extensions anyone?

i can help you

sorry

Hair extensions anyone?

umm sallys hair supplies has like 10 sets for $70 or $80. and i know if you go to jc pennys they can put them in for you but im not sure how much they want, but its not expensive.

Hair extensions anyone?

If you want nice ones, they're expensive. They also hurt! I had them in the 90's for a little while, and hated them.

Hair extensions anyone?

You can go to a hair or beauty salon and purchase Kanelon hair. Its real human hair, if you get your hair done use that kind or Yaky because they last longer and they look fake they look like your real hair....When gluing the tracks use the black glue the clear glue pulls your hair out and leaves you bald headed

Hair extensions anyone?

First thing, please do not listen to any off these people!! Dont get cheep hair from sally's, kanakalon hair is not Real Human Hair, glue will not rip your hair out ( taking it out improperly will) and do not go to jc pennys! Shesh!!

If you want nice looking long lasting extensions, the best method is sewn in. Glue will last you about 2 weeks to a month and is a pain ( not to mentioned lot of stress and possible damage to you hair) to take out. Fusions do break your hair from the weight of the extension pulling on your actual hair as it grows out. Sewn in extensions are sewn on to cornrows and can last up to 2 months.

the best way to get a good sewin for cheap in my opinion would be to go to a black salon and get it done. African American salons offer extension or weaves as a common service. Due to the fact that it is a service that every competitor salon offers, extensions are priced to compete with the other area salons. Few white salons offer the service so the demand is higher and so are the prices. You can usually get a full sew in for 100 to 200 not including hair.Caucasion hair is usually much thinner and may not require a full head weave to achieve a natural look so ask about 1/2 weaves ( hair added from nape to ear) and prices by row. I find that lot of my white clients are happy with 3 to 5 five rows and we charge 30 a row.

Hair is another issue. No matter how good your extensions are, if the qoulitly of hair you have is not good, your extensions wont look good either. All 100% human hair is Not created equal. It may be a little too much to breack down how to tell whats good hair and bad hair so ill just give you brands.

I how this helps you fufill all your extension dreams.

Hair extensions anyone?

Sorry that my answer is so long! Get yourself a cuppa and then settle down to read it...

Hair extensions can damage your hair, but I have had them on and off for the past five years, because my hair is extremely thin, so in my case, my natural hair is nothing to shout about anyway! I have not noticed any significant damage to my hair. I have them taken out from time to time to give my hair a rest, or to give my bank account a rest as extensions can be expensive!

I love the way they look and the confidence they give me. The main reason I like them is that they give my hair body, as I have never had thick hair. I have them for length as well, but I don't go too long - otherwise I'd just look like a lap dancer!

My hairdresser is amazing, and his extensions look really natural. Some celebs have awful extensions that look so fake and probably cost them thousands. My hairdresser is pretty good value. He does Sharon on Eastenders' extensions.

My hairdresser uses the Racoon Real hair system, which uses a glue gun to attach the hair. It lasts about 3 months before you'll need the extensions taking out and being reattached, as when your own hair grows, the extension bonds (where it joins your hair) moves down the hair shaft and starts to show. So the hairdresser reattaches them near the root. Your own hair covers the join. If you condition the extensions and look after them well, eg have the ends trimmed as you would with normal hair, you can use the same hair for several "re-attachments" before you'll need new extensions.

The cost varies according to how long and thick you want the hair, and also what colour it is. Blonde hair is more expensive as it is harder to get hold of. You can get highlights as well, for example, some light blonde extensions and some darker, and my hairdresser is amazing at blending the colours. He doesn't believe in dying or bleaching extensions though, as you don't know what the previous owner of the hair did to their hair in the past, so it could react badly, plus it damages the condition of the hair.

If you have extensions and decide you'd like to have more blonde in for example, he can take them out and add more blonde extensions, so that's actually better for the hair than bleaching it.

As a guide, my last set of extensions cost me 鎷?00 including the hair, but this is a bit cheaper as I'm not blonde now, I've gone back to my natural colour. Also I get a discount as I've been going to him for five years. I've never paid more than 鎷?00. It then costs approx 鎷?0 - 鎷?00 to have them reattached.

Some places charge way more than that for really bad extensions!

My hairdresser is in London and his name is Maurice Miller. He has salons in Marylebone and West Ruislip, and his salon name his MJM Hair.

Cinderella hair extensions!?

i was considering getting cinderella hair extensions, but i was wondering, are they expensive!? how long do they last!? can you dye and straighten them like regular hair!? do you have to use a special shampoo!? do they hurt when being put in!? please answer, especially if you have them, or are certified to apply them

Cinderella hair extensions!?

I have been wearing hair extensions for over three years. I do them myself now and its fabulous! I learned everything I know about extensions from the people on this forum http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum_topic... There is more information there than you could ever need. I got my hair done at a salon for the first year and then realized I could do it myself. Visit that link and you will see people talk about all the different kinds, you'll see pictures, application techniques etc.

And extensions should never be painful. You can do anything you want to them - but I wouldn't recommend dying them, simply buy them in the color you want.

Cinderella hair extensions!?

dip stick

i havent had extensions and i know they dont hurt, u use special glue to get them in and u can do anythig with them:straighten, curl dye wateva!!

I need help on information about hair extensions...?

I feel really stupid asking this question, lol. But, I need help. Okay, I'm Hawaiian and African American, and have thick, naturally curly hair that goes down to the middle of my back, but I want straight hair extenstions.

Is this possible? I'm not allowed to have perms, put chemicals into my hair, etc. If I flat iron my hair so it'll be straight like the extensions, it won't last long, because when I wet it, my natural hair will go back curly in seconds.

Anyway, does anyone know how someone with naturally curly and frizzy hair would be able to get straight extensions, or is that not possible? Please help. =[

I need help on information about hair extensions...?

even if u get stright hair extensions, your hair will still b curly and when your hair gets wet it will go back to it's natural state. so your hair will still be the same, but the extensions will be straight......u will always have to straighten it, so i don't think u need hair extensions......

I need help on information about hair extensions...?

no, it's not possible, because your curly hair would still be there. it wouldn't work =/ the only thing to do would be get a perm, but since you aren't allowed you'll have to stick to the flat iron... which sucks I know.

I need help on information about hair extensions...?

its possible. i have never done it straight only with braids but i have cousins and friends who have. some of them have relaxes but some dont because they still want their natural hair and dont want to put chemicals in their hair either. wut they do is they go to s salon and get their hair straitened really good. then they get the weave put in but you have to make sure its the same texture as ur hair when its strait. because there is even a texture to black peoples hair when it is straight. but u cant get it wet while its in or the weave will get messed up depending on wut kind u got and your hair will get frizzy and go back to its natural state.

I need help on information about hair extensions...?

i wish i knew

I need help on information about hair extensions...?

Don't listen to those people. My aunt does hair for a living and you can definitely get extensions. You would probably need to get a weave though. You would really have to take care of it. What they would do is braid your hair back in French braids and then they would sew the weave into the braids. You wouldn't feel it and it would be like you have a whole new set of hair! It last maybe two months if you TAKE CARE OF IT and it always turns out nice. It can take a while though and the hair is expensive because you would need human hair..... You would nee human hair because you want to flat iron it and such and that is what they usually do in that case. Good luck and best wishes [!] P.s tell me how things work out!

I need help on information about hair extensions...?

Hair extensions are normally used to make your hair longer. If i were you i would just use a protctive gel and either blow dry it straight or use a straightner.

But make sure the straightner is ceramic otherwise it can damage you hair and be just as bad as chemicals. (thats what my friends stylist told her).

And yes if you use a straightner or blowdryer it only stays that way until you wet it. the only way to make it last a while is getting it chemically straightened.

I need help on information about hair extensions...?

you can..you can get the wet n wavy hair extensions so that when it is wet it is curly and you can straighten it

Hair Extensions Training - Where can I learn cheap?!?

I really want to learn how to apply hair extensions without using glue (fusion) so I know there is like a DVD out there you can buy with instructions. Anyone know what it is called or where I can buy it?

Hair Extensions Training - Where can I learn cheap?!?

Hmm even though there are videos, nothing will compare to the training that you get when you are a student at a hair care school. I am certified in Sew-in, Micro-link, Fusion, and Shrinkies extensions and I got all of my knowledge from the school that I went to.

Hair Extensions Training - Where can I learn cheap?!?

ebay it

Hair Extensions Training - Where can I learn cheap?!?

www.ExtensionTraining.com

Great DVD to learn hair extension application - Best Seller!

I bought it $30 and now I am a hair extensionist in my area and do them in my home. I make great money too. About $500 profit per client! It teaches the micro link (safe method) you don't have to use ANY chemicals or glues. It is semi-permanent method and safe on hair. Big celebrities get their hair done this way, totally natural looking! Otherwise you'll pay $1200+ for a training class that will teach you the exact same method and instructions!

Hair Extensions Training - Where can I learn cheap?!?

I have worked with people that have done hand sewn, basket weave and hand tied. They are all licensed professionals who specialize in this and work in NYC. IF you are licensed people do take on an apprentice usually. Best of luck.

Hair extensions ladiess!!!!!!!! (who wants 10 points)?

Has any one tried pop hair extensions??

if so how are they???

Hair extensions ladiess!!!!!!!! (who wants 10 points)?

Great for special occassions.

Human hair clip-ons are best, can be styled with heat implements and re-used. They can be colored and permed.

Glue in can not be re-used as easily.

Synthetic will fray and melt from heat, can not be colored or permed.

Free advice from a pro.

Hair extensions ladiess!!!!!!!! (who wants 10 points)?

I've tried a few different brands and those are the best i've had so far.

Hair extensions falling out?

Had extensions put in bonded with wax, hair falls out in clumps, done everything i was told to do, and didnt do what she said not to do, at my wits end,

Hair extensions falling out?

ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hair extensions falling out?

The person who did the extensions probably didn't do a good enough job. You should ask for your money back. You should get the extensions that are either glued or weaved in. They stay longer.

Hair extensions falling out?

i like a woman with her real hair, go natural

Hair extensions falling out?

Get your money back.

Hair extensions falling out?

Call the stylist.

Have her patch it up.

You cannot fix this yourself. You paid for it, make her/him fix it.

Hair extensions falling out?

I had em for years.... Don't get conditioner on the 'bond'. The ahir that falls could be extensions that have been in too long. Your hair sheds naturally as you know, so extensioms won't last forever...Why not go back to where you had them done and have a chat? You could say you maybe wanted them done again....?

Hair extensions falling out?

i would go back to the salon you got them put in at and complain and redone, how long have you had them .

Hair extensions falling out?

tell me about them more trouble than there worth mate mine are pissing me off, my real hair is **** now.

Hair extensions falling out?

mmmmmm

Hair Extensions Have you had them?

Hey everyone! I was interested in getting Hair Extensions.. But i am not sure.. Can anyone tell me if they have had them or not. How much do they cost. Can anyone recommend anyone in the Illinois Area. Thanks

Hair Extensions Have you had them?

I have gotten some befor in Illinois by a lady named Sharron

Hair Extensions Have you had them?

I have used several types. The ones I like the best are from Donna Bella Milan. You call and order directly from them and they ship to your residence. You can also order a DVD to do it youself (you would need to buy the tools as well) or you can call a local salon to have them put the hair in. Report It

Hair Extensions Have you had them?

Personally i would not get hair extesions, because idk i like my hair the way it is.

Hair Extensions Have you had them?

I have had them before yes some years back. They should be available to be done anywhere Ethnic hair is styled. Oprah is always in Chicago and she definitely has hair extensions

Hair Extensions Have you had them?

What ever you do . Do not get them they just make you look trashy plus they are hard to get out of your hair

Hair Extensions Have you had them?

extensions are expensive and require high maintenance. if you can afford the upkeep and/or are good at doing your hair yourself then go for it. If the extensions are glued in make sure the adhesive is put off the scalp. Sewn in last but are more expensive. Good salons charge a lot and you get what you pay for. Although being a good shopper can't hurt. Ethnic salons will have more experience. BTW Beauty supplies have clip on extensions.

Hair Extensions Have you had them?

dont get hair extensions that are like glued into your hair. io have clip in hair extensions. and they realy work. and NO they dont look trashy.

heres the site, you can order them online

www.hairextensionsnow.com

Hair Extensions Have you had them?

i would seripuse not get them unless u have a lot of time to get them fixed every now and then my mom got some for 600 dollars and they keep on falling out she has to keep on going back to the lady to gat them put back on and they look crappy after like a month

Hair extensions!?

does anyone know how you get extensions in your hair? does it hurt? how long does it take?sorry for so many questions!thanx!

Hair extensions!?

Hair extensions are great!! I just got mine done yesterday!! They didn't hurt bad at all and you can check with a college in your area and see if the cosmetology program there will do it for training. They only use the most qualified students and it's cheaper that way. I love them and it only took about 4 hours which seems long but they stay in for weeks and weeks. Mine cost 80. I highly recommend them

Hair extensions!?

are hair extensions just like wigs so its fake? e-mail me back the answer

Hair extensions!?

I have never had them, but I know others that have. First of all you need to make sure u are getting them done by someone that is good.

Hair extensions is real hair that is woven or sown into braids in your hair. I have heard it doesn't hurt but it is very time consuming depending on how much you are getting done. It can take 1 hour till all day. Definitely go into a shop and ask questions, that will help. Check out the web site below.

Hair extensions!?

Extensions can be sown or glued into your natural hair. They don't hurt, but I know some women who have had allergic They are a great way to experiment with your look without a committment (If you don't like them take them out). No matter what you decide let a professional put them in. THey can be cut and style just like human hair. They can be time consuming to put in depending on length and style. Synthetic hair should NOT/NEVER be used because washing it destroys the style and texture of the fake hair.

Hair extensions!?

i actually like extensions i had them once there not so bad. and no they don't hurt at all. and i actually think its a cool way to try new hair ideas/colors. with out messing or damaging your own hair!

Human Hair Extensions?

Hi everyone! I'm thinking about getting the real human hair extensions done (like faith hill, jessica simpson, etc.) and was wondering if anyone on here has had them done, if they recommend paying the price for them, and how long they last. Also, do you feel the bumps in your hair when you run your hand over it like normal? Thanks!!

Human Hair Extensions?

It depends on the way that you want to do your hair. If you want your hair to be able to style with curling iron, flat iron or any hair grooming product that requires heat, you will need to go with human hair.

There are different ways to put in weave. There is Sewing it in, Gluing it in, and a newer way to do it and that is Fusion. Depending on how long you want the weave will determine which type you use. Sewing and Fusion last the longest, and Gluing is more for temporary wear, like a week or a week 闄?.

Also it depends on the texture of your hair. Thin/Thick slick hair (For example a Caucasian閳ユ獨 hair) extensions that are sewn in may not last very long b/c to sew it in you have to braid the hair to sew the extensions on to. Gluing might last a little longer b/c the glue would take to the scalp well, but if you wash your hair, the tracks will slip, and when removing the tracks you may actually pull out some strands of hair.

Fusion is when the stylist uses a Fusion clamp that heats up the protein based adhesive on the end of the weave and bonds it to your hair. The best example I could use is if you go to http://abantu.com/html/fusion_clamp.html and it can show you in short the process. Fusion is the most expensive, sometimes ranging from $900-$2000 depending on the stylist; but you can wash your hair, brush through it and I don閳ユ獩 think you would feel any bumps like you would with glue or sewing.

Human Hair Extensions?

The best is when you grow your own extensions. It takes a long time, but it's worth it.

Human Hair Extensions?

Mine had little clippies that clipped them in next to my scalp. They look good. They cost a bunch though.

Human Hair Extensions?

yes you can feel the extentions but you can have them in for at least 5 weeks deppending on how you maintain your hair.

Hair extensions. Clip on. Sally Beauty Supply store? Help?

I've been thinking about clip-on hair extensions for a while. I know Sally Beauty store has them, but I don't know if it'll be okay. Some people say that it looks too synthetic, some same it's good.

How much would the 18" cost? My cousin told me hers might've been synthetic (she doesn't exactly know), but she can use heat on hers. Can you actually do that?

Thanks for all of the info

Hair extensions. Clip on. Sally Beauty Supply store? Help?

The longer and lighter you go the more expensive it is. If you got 18" blonde hair it would be more expensive than 18" brown hair. Especially if it's 100% human hair. With this hair you can use heat....but if you do use low heat. The synthetic hair contains plastics so it WILL melt...you don't want that. The employees are usually pretty good at helping you out at Sally's. Good luck!

Hair extensions. Clip on. Sally Beauty Supply store? Help?

U can on most of them use heat but they actually look good when they're not those crazy colors but if u wanna do it gofor it as long as ur doing it for u

Hair extensions. Clip on. Sally Beauty Supply store? Help?

Usually synthetic hair extensions tend to melt with contact heat such as curling irons and straighteners. Blow drying is okay, but don't get too close. I'm not exactly sure of the pricing for clip ons. You should consider a weave. It's cheaper and lasts longer.

Is the hair extensions for curly hair?

i have shoulder length naturally curly hair and i was wondering is there such a thing as extensions for people with curly hair.

Is the hair extensions for curly hair?

Of course. Extension techs can show you samples of the hair texture if you book a consultation. There are tons of questions on this board about extensions. I don't think most people realize just how labor intensive and costly this can be. Best of luck.

Is the hair extensions for curly hair?

no

Is the hair extensions for curly hair?

yeah and if not buy regular extensions and curl them.

Is the hair extensions for curly hair?

yes. my friend has gotten extensions many times and she has quite curly hair. it doesn't look odd. it looks really really awesome

Hair extensions ?

ok , so i have posted a similar question , but now i have to know if i should do it... if you know miley cyrus , her sister brandi cyrus'd hair is how i want.. its blonde on top of her head then the rest is black , with two blue extensions , should i ? i want something new for sure !

heres the picture.. brandi is the one with the blonde .. if it dont work .. copy and paste the link :)

http://cache.viewimages.com/xc/75277293....

Hair extensions ?

if u want extensions go for it. but dont copy exactly what that girl has, make it ur own in a way. all i no is extensiuons r reeellly expensive. just grow ur hair out

Hair extensions ?

I think that if you do the blonde on top you should have the blonde a little longer than the pic... and maybe do a dark dark brown instead of a black

that girl is kinda ugly haha

Hair extensions ?

its cute.. have fun with ur hair girl!! dont worry about what ppl think

Hair Extensions..?

Well i've already made up my mind to get them so i'm not trying to have people talk me out of it.

My hair got BUTCHERED by this stupid friend of mine in cos school still. and it looks so bad. she chopped 5 inches off of it and it's a hack job. I AM getting extensions

I just need to know which kind are the best, how long they last, how much they cost.. and where in MICHIGAN do they put them in for you?

Hair Extensions..?

I've got real human hair extensions.

I'm from Canada so I have no idea where you can get them done in Michigan. But- I got them sewn into my hair, don't get them glued because they don't last long and are very damaging to your hair.

My extensions cost about $100 and $50 to get them sewn in but thats because I got them from a local lady.

If you're looking to get it done at a hair dresser, its going to cost around $200-$300.

pretty pricey.

if you're planning on using a curling iron or flat iron on the hair, you have to get real hair or else it will all melt.

Hair Extensions..?

Well how bout u just get a wig lol

just kidding

soooooooooo um idk really sorry

Hair Extensions..?

google it just dont get glued ones

Hair Extensions..?

Extensions are priced by material and length. Human hair is the best, and is extremely expensive, especially if you want long hair. It's kinda like diamonds, the bigger (or longer) they are, the rarer it is, the more expensive it is per carat (or inch). On top of that, you need to pay someone to put them in, which can also vary in price. With such a big range, it's hard to give you a number.

As for where in Michigan, where do you live? I'm from East Lansing, and know if a few places in Lansing you can get it don'e, but I don't now how much I would trust them. The best idea is to call a salon (not your friend) and ask 1) if they do it, 2) how much (theidea is to compare prices) and 3) if they don't so it, ask if they know someone who does.

Hair Extensions..?

I think the best are shrink tubes. they have the least amount of damage for the longer lasting methods. Fusion is another alternative, but not good if you have delicate hair. fusion can last for 4 months, its more common then shrink tubes. as for cost? the long lasting methods, be prepared to spend 500-3000 $. this depends on the stylist, the hair quality, the method of extension, and how much is needed to address your issue. Im not sure where in michigan they will do them, but look in the phone book, high end salons usually all have an extensionist. call and ask what methods, ect. many places will offer a free consultation and give you a relative price quote and what to expect.

Hair Extensions..?

do not get the ones that are glued in by latex, they won't last more than an hour.

where in michigan? if you are close to chicago, you may want to drive out to chicago to get it done.

Hair Extensions..?

I just bought the best hair extensions!!! You should definately use the brand Remy. Get the clamp extensions that use a bead type thing. They will not "butcher" your hair anymore than it may be lol. There definatley the safest! Hope I helped :)
