Has anyone used Toni Brattin hair extensions?

I've been looking at them on HSN.com and have been thinking about ordering some, but I was just curious on how someone who has used them liked them....please let me know as soon as possible...Thanks!

Has anyone used Toni Brattin hair extensions?

I have various clients that have purchased them and like them.

I actually saw a Toni Pony on my one particular client last week and it looked very natural, I asked of course and she told me it was that.

Has anyone used Toni Brattin hair extensions?

If you have the money to blow, go for it. But they only last a couple of weeks. That's why celebrities have them all the time and normal people don't.

Can u style hair extensions?

i know i just asked a question like this about 5 minutes ago but i need to know!

Can u style hair extensions?

Yes, you can.

As your hair stylist for more details.

And for styling them like real hair, yes. You just have to be careful ( when you curl, flatiron, etc. ) because the heat may damage your extensions.

Can u style hair extensions?

i hate my sister!!!!!!!!

Can u style hair extensions?

yes you can

Can u style hair extensions?

Well only human hair ones. I wouldnt do synthetic unless it says heat / chemical proof.

Can u style hair extensions?

Yes you can. If you have human hair, you can blow dry, flat iron, curl, wash, anything you want to do.

Can u style hair extensions?

if it's real hair if it's not no

Can u style hair extensions?

Yes you can, depending on what kind of extensions you get. I know people who do it all the time.

Can u style hair extensions?

u should be able to if they are of good quality. i just wouldnt over do the heat processing on them.

Can u style hair extensions?

yes.......... i did

Can u style hair extensions?

yeah, but you have to be careful not to burn them..

Can u style hair extensions?

Only if it's real human hair.

How much do hair extensions hurt/cost? And how long do they last?

HAIR EXTENSION ARE PRICEY WELL ONLY IF YOU GET HUMAN HAIR. LOOKS BETTER. A FRIEND OF MINE JUST GOT SOME AND ALTOGETHER FOR 8" LONG LENGTH SHE PAID JUST $400.00 ON THE HAIR PLUS LABOR ALTOGETHER IT WAS LIKE $$$700.00 BECUASE IT TOOK LIKE 8HRS TO FINISH.....THEY do not hurt but can damage your hair...agian it all depends on what you use.... to put in your hair..

How much do hair extensions hurt/cost? And how long do they last?

hair extensions do not hurt. they are just glued onto your hair. they last for a few months. mine went well for about 3 months then it started to slip off. i got it done for about US$6, not sure about the usual price as it was at my friend's aunt's shop and i got a discount..

Whats the differnce between fusion hair extensions and weave extensions?

A weave is sewn on to your stands using a careful pattern, fusion is heated onto your strands using what looks like a small hot iron. I had fusions before, they dont hurt except for the pulling, and both itch afterwards.

Whats the differnce between fusion hair extensions and weave extensions?

I have in fusion weave. Its hair fused in with glue or with these little, fine iron beads. I have mines done with beads. They take a piece of your hair and a piece of weave with the fine bead on it then they loop the hair through it then squeeze the bead with this machine-pliers. Then comb trough it. Fusion is so much better and it lasts for months

How to remove hair extensions at home?

use a strimmer and cut the lawn aswell.

How to remove hair extensions at home?

If they are the glue in ones you will have to buy the special hair extension removal shampoo, you will be able to get that in the place you bough your hair extensions. Be careful pulling them out tho cause thay tend to take lumps of your hair with them.

How to remove hair extensions at home?

Depends what type of extensions, usually braided extensions you can snip across a plait and then unravel the braids, as for stick on hair pieces I have no idea, i think its best to ask a hairdresser.

How to remove hair extensions at home?

i have just taken out my extensions and miss them already!! if they are the individual bonded ones, acetone dissolves them...just keep dabbing it on til they kinda go like sand and dissolve...it is very time consuming but at least it doesnt damage ur hair.... if they are the glue in strips...acetone wil also take them out or there is a remover lotion but i have found the acetone better...it even takes chewing gum out of the hair!!!!(as i discovered last week when a kid came into the salon with it stuck in her hair).... good luck with them...

What type of hair extensions are used to achieve those wavy braids that Solange usually wears?

here's an example : http://photos.lacoccinelle.net/06/89/110...

What type of hair extensions are used to achieve those wavy braids that Solange usually wears?

i think its shake and go crimped heres the website http://www.snghair.com/main_mkw_bulk.htm look around b/c i am pretty sure its this brand

What type of hair extensions are used to achieve those wavy braids that Solange usually wears?

Normally I would say WetNWavy, but you'll only get a slight wave and not that much of a curl. Look for a water wave, and if you can't find that, then just use the straight hair and get it set on perm rods with setting lotion. It'll take all day, but the curls will stay until it gets wet.

What type of hair extensions are used to achieve those wavy braids that Solange usually wears?

Her style is called pinch plaits. Just go to a local hair store and ask for pinch plait hair.{Note: They take about 3 hours!!!!}

Hope I helped!!!!!!!!!!!!

How much do hair extensions normally cost?

I would like to know. Thanks

How much do hair extensions normally cost?

It depends on where you live and how long the extensions are.

My daughter had hers done here in Texas. Hers went down to the middle of her back and she also had her hair highlighted to match the hair extensions and she paid $400.

How much do hair extensions normally cost?

I'm pretty sure about 100-200$. At least thats how much it is at the salon by my house.

How much do hair extensions normally cost?

you can buy the hair alone for about $30 for a cheeper version. but for nice hair if is 85-150$

How much do hair extensions normally cost?

It really depends on what type of hair extensions .Extensions range from 30$ to 800$ if not more.If you are looking into that Indian hair be prepared to spend more than a hundred dollars on one pack.If you go to your everyday beauty supply it should be less than an hundred(Indian hair is very expensive.

I'm getting hair extensions...?

should i get them glued or weaved? which one lasts longer?

I'm getting hair extensions...?

Umm well they are both expensive, i got them and they were 200 a month, and my hair is still recovering from them. As an expierenced woman and Hair stylist dont get either. I use clip ins i go clubbing dancing etc. and they never fall out! I got them from sally beauty supply...

The Brand is euronext and mine were $70. There is about 15 hair clips and you can make how ever long or short you want. They are real hair, so you can iron them curl them... etc.

They have a clip at the end and u snap it in. If you skae your hair around they dont come off! PLEASE TRY THEM!

http://www.ultimatelooks.com/hairpieceli...

I'm getting hair extensions...?

glued

weaved is NASTY

I'm getting hair extensions...?

glue can make your hair fall out.

I'm getting hair extensions...?

I would say weaved. I got them. It hurts and its weird. But I heard glue just gets gross and you need way too many touch ups.

I'm getting hair extensions...?

i heard the weave hurts..but i think they last longer. a girl in our school got glue and it looked weird it could of jus been the person you did it tho

I'm getting hair extensions...?

glued

I'm getting hair extensions...?

weaved is better i think because it takes longer to get in but looks more real and the glues kind is fine but hurts really bad when u get them taken out. weaven also lasts longera nd the extensions cant fall out if its weaved

I'm getting hair extensions...?

Glue only breaks your hair fall out if your dont take it out properly. There arespecial shampoos that make this very easy and they can be bought at Sally's or any other beauty supply.

Sewn in last longer but can also cause breakage if tracks are braided too tight.

Just be careful and go to a reputable salon.

Good Luck.

I'm getting hair extensions...?

you better get it weaved, cause that glue will have you bald as hell. lol, take it from someone who stays getting her hair done. glue pulls out your edges, and you will be so upset.

I'm getting hair extensions...?

Weave. The glue destroys your hair and it doesn't last long at all!

Where to get hair extensions in mn- and info?

how much are they, where should i go, ect.

Where to get hair extensions in mn- and info?

put in more detials put in where you live for locations

Do you recommend hair extensions? If so, what kind? Sew ons, clip ons, glue ons...?

anything that looks normal. Why do you need hair extensions anyways? Italians like yourself don't need hair extensions.

Do you recommend hair extensions? If so, what kind? Sew ons, clip ons, glue ons...?

Natural is better - work with what you've got. Hair extensions are a pain!

Do you recommend hair extensions? If so, what kind? Sew ons, clip ons, glue ons...?

the clip in ones are good if you just want to wear them for an evening, i don't know much about the sew in kind, but for a permanent fix, the bonded extensions are really good if they're put in properly.

Do you recommend hair extensions? If so, what kind? Sew ons, clip ons, glue ons...?

you should get the jessica simpson one there pretty dope

Do you recommend hair extensions? If so, what kind? Sew ons, clip ons, glue ons...?

I love hair extensions, and I have an entire wardrobe of hair. I wear wiglets, clip-ons, and the ones that attach to your own hair with combs. I don't recommend sewing or gluing extensions because of the outrageous cost and time commitment to get them attached, and because they can be very damaging to your natural hair. If you take good care of your clip-on extensions they will last a long time and look perfectly natural. They also give you the freedom to wear your natural hairstyle if you want, or change from long and straight to medium and curly in just a few minutes. So much fun!

Do you recommend hair extensions? If so, what kind? Sew ons, clip ons, glue ons...?

buy the clip ons.

they look real if you have thick/long hair.

Do you recommend hair extensions? If so, what kind? Sew ons, clip ons, glue ons...?

I think you so go with the sew on

Do you recommend hair extensions? If so, what kind? Sew ons, clip ons, glue ons...?

i think natrual hair is better and more pretty! (no offence) but its your choice!

Do you recommend hair extensions? If so, what kind? Sew ons, clip ons, glue ons...?

i just recently bought myself clip-on hair extensions and, they work great. it's very easy to do on your own. and another thing i love about them is that you can take them out whenever you want to shower, wash your hair, etc.

it's hard to wash your hair with the glue or sew-ons because sometimes you want to dig your fingers through your scalp while washing your hair but it'll be tough.

Do you recommend hair extensions? If so, what kind? Sew ons, clip ons, glue ons...?

Clip ons of course, you can take them out at night and use them over again

Has anyone had hair extensions put in that DON'T Hurt?

i have had them done twice, they were glued in and hurt like hell!! everysite i have looked at says they shouldn't hurt. Just curious.

Has anyone had hair extensions put in that DON'T Hurt?

Clip in hair extensions won't hurt and won't damage your hair.

Has anyone had hair extensions put in that DON'T Hurt?

You're obviously tender headed. Your scalp just may be uber sensitive to the glue or something. And braiding them in probably wouldn't be any better. Fusion hair extensions would be your best bet - but they're a little bit more expensive. Actually, a lot more expensive. It's an extensive procedure where they take a fusion gun and actually melt an extension of hair right onto the midshaft of your hair. Individually. It's time consuming. But they also last longer than tracks that are glued in.

閳?br>Has anyone had hair extensions put in that DON'T Hurt?

yea they dont hurt if you get clip i and out ones and they look totally real

Has anyone had hair extensions put in that DON'T Hurt?

Hair Extensions should not hurt!!!

Your stylist is obviously inexperienced.

Try a new Salon.

The Jessica Simpson clip ins are really cool too.

Here is a link to the website.

Click on the "Salon Locator" link on the right and put in your zipcode to find a place that sells them near you.

How well do hair extensions work?

And how long do they actaully stay on?

How well do hair extensions work?

They work very well as long as you take care of them. It also depends on what kind of braids your getting. SOme people can keep braind in their hair for a couple of months. But your supposed to take braids out when you have a lot of new growth.

How well do hair extensions work?

they stay on for about 6 mnths or longer... but its expensive getting hair extensions it costs more than $300 dollars you shouldnt get hair extensions cuz when you wash your hair it smells really bad ive gotten hair extensions before so im telling you from experience please dont get hair extensions!!!!!!!!

How well do hair extensions work?

It depends on if your buying them at a hair store or getting them done proffessionaly. My friend bought some and they only stayed on about a week then they started to come off and she had to re-glue them. If you get it done at a salon, i think they would stay on longer but im not so sure.

How well do hair extensions work?

It damages your hair.

How much are hair extensions from a salon?

I mean longer one??? Also are there any good ones out in stores u can buy to look good like the jessica simpsons ones?? ANyone have them done and how did u like them??

How much are hair extensions from a salon?

Over 150.00 Dolars dependes the long you need it. They feel like your natural hair.

How much are hair extensions from a salon?

CALL A SALON AND ASK!

What kind of HAIR EXTENSIONS could I use for VOLUME??

Example the ones they braid in or clue or which ones??

What kind of HAIR EXTENSIONS could I use for VOLUME??

Jessica Simpson has a great line out right now....just for that. Very realistic....Ken Pave (her hair guy) invented them. I know that they have them at www.qvc.com. Saw the presentation. Very cool.

What kind of HAIR EXTENSIONS could I use for VOLUME??

Some curly , and hair spray that says for volume

What kind of HAIR EXTENSIONS could I use for VOLUME??

You can get straight hair extensions and use volumizing products like Paul Mitchell's line of EXTRA-BODY products

OR

You can get wavy or thicker textured hair extensions because they will already be full and thick.

The brand or type doesnt matter, just go to a beauty supply store and take a look at all the choice + pick which best suits what look you are trying to get.

But if you are using this as a temporary style, its easier to get weave hair that is on tracks and glue those to your scalp. CHEAPER METHOD.

If you want to keep the style for longer,

you can get fusion weaving which is when you buy the hair in bulk (not on a track) and each piece of hair is individually placed on strands of your own hair. EXPENSIVE METHOD.

What kind of HAIR EXTENSIONS could I use for VOLUME??

It's so hard to get volume and bounce into your hair, but I've recently found a great product called a "hairdo". It's a one piece, which you clip on. See this demo video for details: http://www.hothair.co.uk/xcart353/custom...

They are temporary extensions. For permanent extensions, which will be glued in, you really need to see an experienced stylist. I have had both of these, so fel free to email me with any questions. I'm no expert, but I'm happy to help. take care! x

What kind of HAIR EXTENSIONS could I use for VOLUME??

things with aloe are good for curles - for some people extensions for curles are good for volume. but try it at beginning! for example I use shampoos for curles, 'cause I DON'T want any more volume...

Anyone ever had hair extensions?

How much does it cost? How do I maintain them?

The pros and cons? Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

Anyone ever had hair extensions?

my cuz just got them!

maybe u can find one of her questions on this site.

she's nicole

Anyone ever had hair extensions?

I've only had a weave lol

But from what i've seen and heard, they can get ratty, tangle your hair, and if you want it to look real natural its going to cost$$.

But the pros are; you can put your hair into a ponytail(the individuals),it looks very real(with the right hair dresser). And you'll be happy..and if a person ask "Is that your hair?" You say YES(because you brought it lol)

marm212 is WRONG they do both rather you are black or not! They also do the individuals!

Anyone ever had hair extensions?

a friend of mine had them

it cost 1000$.

Anyone ever had hair extensions?

Yes I did get hair extensions once, but I went to a hair salon for black women (not trying to be racist here) and which many said was a mistake because they do hair extensions very differently. If you are black, all the barber will do is braid your hair and sew the extension to the root of each braid with a weft. It may hurt a little depending on how tight she decides to put it. If you are not black, the barber will section off your hair and usually glue the weft to the root area. The cost of extensions varies on your particular hair, but I warn you, it will not be cheap! There really is no way to maintain them other than to just treat the fake hair with a little extra TLC because it is more delicate. With glue ons they may actually fall out on their own which is why sew ins are much better because they wont come out until you want them out. The pros are how fabulous you will look, the cons are the expense and the fact that you shouldnt do it too often because it can damage your scalp. Hope this helps

Anyone ever had hair extensions?

Well. It totally depends on hold old you are.

These are some Cons:

If you are younger like under 25, it might be a good idea to wear fake extentions, because extentions could ruin your hair!! So heres a website if you would like to do fake ones!

http://www.hairextensions.com/

These are some Pros:

You can get longer hair instantly!! It doesnt cost a whole bunch of money so it is a good and fast way to have longer hair!! Here is a website for a guide and some tips about hair extentions!!

http://www.hairextensionguide.com/

Hope I helped and best of luck!!

Anyone ever had hair extensions?

i have them and i love them. i have been wearing them for over a year. mine are sew in though. you will have to research the salons in your area for a price. find a salon will do a consultation with you prior to making your appointment. so that you can ask questions about the process and pricing. they will advise you of what type of hair to get, remi, non-remi. remi is hair with the cuticle intact. some salons even supply the hair for you. you take care of extensions like you take care of your own hair. i did a lot of research on www.hairextensions101.com. they have a forum that you can research and ask questions regarding extensions/salons. its truly a gold mine of info. hth

Anyone ever had hair extensions?

-Extensions are great if you want longer hair. but I can't stand wearing someone else's hair on my head so i dont wear them.

-The human hair ones cost around 80-150 dollars. depending on length

-You can dye the human hair extensions, which is neat cuz then you dont have to dye your real hair and get it all damaged,

-Extensions can rip out some of your real hair

-Extensions can be hassle to put on if you're going by the glue-method

-Clip-on extensions are easy and you can take them out and put them back on any time.

-To maintain them, you just wash them regularly like your real hair.

-The best place to buy them are at Sally's. But you can also get them at most beauty supply shops.

Anyone ever had hair extensions?

you can get clip on exentions and they arnt as expensive, they still work really good and if you dont want them one day you can take them out!! and they look SO real ! :) good luck ..

Anyone ever had hair extensions?

I have had them several times before.

They have different types, ranging from the type that you glue in, the type that you sew in, and then there are the kind that you clip in. Be aware that extensions can damage and break off your hair, so if you have healthy hair I would recommend not even getting them. Make sure that you get human hair because it will last longer. When it is time to take them out, have a professional do it, because you may pull your hair out.

It can get expensive, depending on what kind you get or where you go, ranging anywhere from $75- a couple of hundred.

Check out hairextensions.com to weigh out your pros and your cons.

Anyone ever had hair extensions?

I haven't had them, but, did allot of research on them ( b/c I was thinking about geting them).

First of all, marm212 is totally confusing getting a weave %26amp; getting extentions. Anyone (regardless of your race) can get either. Weaving is when they braid your hair %26amp; sew the "new" hair onto the braids. Extentions are when they just take the "new" hair %26amp; bond/glue it to your existing hair.

From what I have gathered, it costs about $1-$2 a strand to put in/labor cost (%26amp;, most people need a few hundres strands), plus the cost of the hair itself, %26amp; sometimes some extra fees (depending on the salon).

Also, with maintaining them, you need to go back to the salon every month or two to have any of the fallen hairs removed. Remember, every day a person loses about 100 hairs, so, since they are all bonded into the xtention, even whne they dislodge from your scalp, they stay in the bundle %26amp; can create horrible tangles. Also, if you don't get these "loose hairs" removed, when you go to get them taken out, it will take forever %26amp; will also cost you more $$ (b/c it will take them more time) %26amp;, also, depending on how bad they tangle, it could rip your hair, so, basically, it's advisable to go back for the maintaince %26amp; have the loose hairs removed almost montly.

I'm getting hair extensions (bonds) put in, any advice?

they are done by racoon international so their not cheap. just wondering if anyone`s had them done, what their like to look after and how long before they really need adjusting?

I'm getting hair extensions (bonds) put in, any advice?

Just need a trim after hair grows, hair not extensions or have them removed

I'm getting hair extensions (bonds) put in, any advice?

Have you not seen pics of celebs in the papers showing their bald patches that the extensions have caused. Think again, I would if I were you.

I'm getting hair extensions (bonds) put in, any advice?

I am a hair dresser when they are grow out and ready to come out your hair is going to look horriable!

I recomded this:

theres a new thing out called clip ons, you can do this your self and its a lot cheaper!

at a beauty supply the longest hair you want will cost about %26amp;50.00 and then going less, depending on the lenght!

the clips cost about 25 cents. buy about 15 of them

and the sewing thred and the neddle spesially used for this about $5.00!

the process cut hair dew to the measure of your head you need 3 layers,

measure first layer:

by the top of your ears

second:

half and inch down from that

thrid:

a half of inch down frow that.

this varies, Now you will have more than enought hair! So if you want a thicker look for each layer cut two of the same peases and then sew together.

to apply the clips use five on each layer, starting one from the end and to the other end, spred them out!

sew the clips on and your done!

It costs about $100.00

I am a hair dresser, so who better to trust

good luck!

I'm getting hair extensions (bonds) put in, any advice?

i9ve never had them, but alot of people have bald patches on the back of their head with them

I'm getting hair extensions (bonds) put in, any advice?

Hi,

Don't do it. Get clip-in ones they cost between 鎷?0-鎷?00 and take minutes to put in. You can wash them, brush them tie them up etc just like normal hair.

It's so much cheaper and a lot kinder to your hair. Many Afro hair shops sell them in a range of colours, you can also get curled ones.

Good Luck!!!

I'm getting hair extensions (bonds) put in, any advice?

I would not waste my money getting them done.I grow my hair.

Do it myself hair extensions?

i suggest that you talk to your hair stylist about them before you put extensions in your hair yourself. it can be very bad for your hair, and if you do it incorrectly then that can lead to many more problems. i think that you should just go get them done at the salon instead of risking your hair. good luck though!

Do it myself hair extensions?

trust me i wouldn't my Realtor did it and majorly damaged her head. she broke out so much her skin looked like ripe raspberries.

BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!

Do it myself hair extensions?

It's possibly alot of my family members do there on hair weaves you just have to have mirror and you can do it on your own

What type of women wear hair extensions?

I put in extensions when I want a different look. People do it for all sorts of reasons, hair may be thinning, to grow your hair out, easy hair style, bad hair day, to hide a bad hair cut, or just because they like to wear weave. There is nothing wrong with it. You would not believe how many people wear them.

Where to get hair extensions in D.C.?

Where is a decent place to get hair extensions and how much would it cost? I have hair past my shoulders and want some length but could really use some more fullness. I just spent good money on japanese hair straigthening that didn't really work so I'd like to get some feedback on other salons and how to get a good deal.

I know it costs big bucks but don't want to overpay like I did for the straightening that didn't work.

Thanks!!

Where to get hair extensions in D.C.?

Raquel Welch boutiques are national, so there should be one in your area. Also, try exclusive salons for hair extensions, and some of them are permanent. Like Gene Juarez for example, has really great extentions.

Where to get hair extensions in D.C.?

sally beauty supply stores - theyre usually reasonably priced and they have several to choose from in the same color (all different prices - yaki-sp? is better)

good luck - you may have to hit pg or montgomery cty if you cant find a sally in dc ;)

How much do hair extensions (22") cost in australia...i mean wefts not the individual strand on

Real hair is $170. 00, fake hair, ninety nine cents. The way you'll look with the real hair, priceless.

If you have hair extensions, how much did you pay?

I like the Jessica Simpson Hairdo brand of clip in hair extensions. They synthetic ones are $90 - $100 and the human hair ones are $450 -- and soooo worth it.

If you have hair extensions, how much did you pay?

The most I have paid was $4000 for the Great Lengths extensions, which are phenomenal.. but I don't always have a spare $4000 lying around to get them done!!

S.O.Cap comes next, rounding in at $2000. I don't see a difference with them or Great Lengths.. except for the extra 2k.

I have done the clip ins, and i'm not at all happy with Jessica Simpson's hair. There is too much hype surrounding that line and I have been disappointed. I know other people have better results, but I happen to like my extensions to the middle of my back, maybe longer, and super blonde. Jessica doesn't always deliver to be honest! You can find so many better options and kinds if you shop around outside of the United States. Everyone here charges too much for not so great results. Just my opinion!

Honestly, if you're on a budget, you want the same results, and you're cool with buying online, I would definitely suggest UK hair suppliers. Nothing against the Asian suppliers because i've worked with them in the past, but i've always been disappointed and I was never understood. The UK suppliers are amazing people to work with. Most of them answer your questions within hours and the prices (plus shipping) is outstanding. I'm a professional hair extensionist and UK suppliers are our secret. Girls that have done my hair at Great Lengths have bought their hair and tools from a few of them, as have I. They have everything from the Heat Connectors, to the hair itself. Pre-bonded, clip ins, you name it. Great products. If you want, I can give you some of my top links that are very secretive to people who do hair extensions for a living. I'm not trying to sound all top secret and such, but have you ever stopped to think about where the people charging that much money are getting their stuff? They surely don't make them themselves!! European and Virgin hair is the best. It doesn't tangle, knot, fall out, and it lasts 2-3 months longer than using Remy, Asian, Indian, etc. If you want to know more, again, please feel free to email me and I will be glad to help you out! I've been doing extensions for almost a year and i've never been disappointed, or had a disappointed client! :)

How much do hair extensions cost??!!??

The cost of hair extensions depends on many different things. Are you looking for a semi-permanent type (fusion)...by the strand?...these will stay in anywhere from 4 to 6 months. (I have these in right now) This type of hair is usually human hair and you can do anything with it except a deep dying treatment. And depending on length and salon it will cost you anywhere from $400 to $3000+. I picked a happy medium ($1200) and I absolutley love them! NO ONE can tell that it is not my hair and the extensions are to my lower back! LOVE!...People keep saying that my hair has gotten so long!..and all I say is "I know, hasn't it?" My stylist is in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Tx-The Old World Salon, Clay Tran 1-817-714-7971 Another kind of hair extension that I have used is clip-in. You can use it at anytime and it is synthetic. I would reccommend "Hairdo" by Jessica Simpson. They stay in great and look pretty good. They do tend to blend better with brunnetts. Extensions.com is a great website to get these! But my best advice would be to call Clay and talk to him about what you want and he will advise you in the right direction. And then try to find it in your area...internet is a great tool. Good Luck!!

Can u style hair extensions?

Can u style hair extensions?

How much do hair extensions typically cost?

Location:

If you go to some "posh" upscale celebrity salon to get your hair done some famous celebrity stylist :-D you're gonna pay alot more than if you go to a less well known salon/stylist. Also the if you live in a large city like NY or LA be prepared to take out a loan for a couple grand (i'm not kidding)

Method:

some methods are more expensive than others. If you're looking to get length for a special event then go with the wefted sew in extensions. You'll only wear them for a couple days. Now if you're trying to grow out your hair (bad hair cut thin hair from chemicals) you might want to go with single strand extensions. Because you'll be wearing them for a while you want versatility ( you can wear them up down something you CANNOT do with the wefts) Single strands are nice and versatile but why shell out $1,000+ for something you only wear for a couple days?! It doesnt make sense so make sure you pick a method that is right for what you want whether long term and short term

Hair:

To get a good result you're going to have to shell out a couple hundred for good quality european hair. European hair is used b/c of their great diets that are high in protein (very good for hair since hair is made out of a keratin, a specific type of protein). If you get really good hair you can re use it. I wouldn't get fusion extensions because you CANNOT reuse the hair and I just wouldnt want glue in my hair. There are so many other good versatile methods out there that you dont' have to use glue or "keratin" bonds which are glue (just a fancy term to keep customer at ease).

Your goal:

Are you just trying to add fullness/high lights to your hair (usually cheapest) or are you trying to go from very short to super long (very expensive). Doing a partial is far less expensive and tedious than full head. The full head of extensions you will have to use more hair and if you hair is thick AND short you'll shell out even more b/c you have to have to purchase enough hair to blend into your own and it takes a little longer

All in all those are SOME of the factors that will affect the price.

Usually anywhere from $200 to maybe $5,000+ (especially if you are in a large city)

I don't know how hair savvy you are but if you're the adventurous type you can try to do it yourself. Its pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

http://www.hairboutique.com go to hair talk (at the top of the page) and then scroll down to the hair extensions board where you can talk to a board full of hair extension artists wiht lots of knowledge and even get to meet some in your area.

The 1st website I listed shows you different methods to to "DEMOS" on the left side. There is also a picture gallery listed. The 2nd website shows wefted extensions something you could do with a little practice. The 3rd website I listed is one that shows many different methods of hair extensions and gives you ball park figures on what to expect in terms of price. But again its not going to be the same every where.

How much do hair extensions typically cost?

How much do hair extensions typically cost?

dunno...

How much do hair extensions typically cost?

mine cost 800 dollars!!!

How much do hair extensions typically cost?

depends where u go, i got to colors and i get a discount every time i go. the most i have ever paid for them was 350, but they are usually 375 but depends on how long and color and everything else. BEWARE they get really annoying after awhile, and get the sew in ones, not the GLUED ONES!!, they rip out Ur own hair.

How much do hair extensions typically cost?

I heard from the tvreality show on VH1; Flava Fav, when the girls were fighting and ripping each other's hair out, one of them said sumthing like ".. this is 800 dollar hair!..."

How much do hair extensions typically cost?

500-1000. and very very damaging and uncomfortable. get the clip in ones, they look better and are much easier. check out the hair u wear ones by raquel welsch. jessica simpson came out with a line but i dont beleive they are real hair. sally beauty supply has awesome ones for 70 bucks that i swear by.

How much do hair extensions typically cost?

Just Depends On Where You Different Places Different Prices

How much do hair extensions typically cost?

anywhere from 350-2500 depending on what type you want and what area of the country you are in, in memphis tn, i charge 1000-1200 for a head of extensions, which is a bit on the less expensive side, it doesn't matter what color or how long the hair is for the type i use..I use a strand by strand method with high quality 100% human hair. also i use a keratin protein bond, no glue. This is the best method of hair extensions, they last about 3-4 months with very little maintenance. These don't do any damage to your own hair and they are pretty comfortable and not that bothersome at all.

You can get some tracks of hair, for about 350-400,they are glued at the scalp or the hair is braided and then the tracks are sewn in, they don't look that natural or last that long and the sewn in ones tend to break your natural hair.

usually the quality of the hair is not so good, even if you do get 100% human hair it is usually not the best quality, and the maintenance on these is required about every 2 weeks or even more often for the glued in tracks.

Make sure you know what you are getting into when you get your extensions. You don't have to overpay, but as far as the technique goes, you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to extensions, I would recommend the strand by strand method for the best value even though they are a bit more pricey on the front end.

Is clip on hair extensions good for African American's: Black people??? serious answers please.

Sometimes they look nice my friend Brittney had some that looked almost real and it looked really nice, but the braided ones look very ghetto to me, I don't know that much since I'm not African America, but I always thought natural hair looks best on all women.

Is clip on hair extensions good for African American's: Black people??? serious answers please.?

I guess if you find the right color or you think your hair is way to short. But i personally would not wear extensions(if it were short) but my hair is long, i guess its how you feel, just make sure that it looks good,ya gotta represent. :) . Hope that helps. -D

Is clip on hair extensions good for African American's: Black people??? serious answers please.?

i have short hair, and i think that clip on's may be a reach. you might have to buy so many of them. is it that you want the versatility of different styles, then maybe try a wig. I wear them as do my friends and if you get a nice human hair one then it will last a while. also you can take it off at night and let your hair rest and breathe.

Is clip on hair extensions good for African American's: Black people??? serious answers please.?

i think clip in extensions would be totally fine on black hair. i currently use clip in extensions. i'm not black, but i don't see how it would be any different.

i've glued extensions before, and that KILLED my hair. and i've heard braiding them is just as bad. no one can tell the difference between clips or glued anyways, so it's way better to trreat your hair nice!

i say go for it. everyone thinks it's my real hair unless i decide to tell them it's not.

In my opinion [:

How much are hair extensions; are they worth the money? what do u think?

The cost really depends on where you live and the type of salon you go to. I live in California across from San Francisco and it averages from $100 to $500 in the salon, with some costing close to a $1000 but not typical! And you also have to add in the cost of hair which can range from $15 to over $100 per pack of hair (avg 1-2 packs).

I really like "weaves" as I call them. I think it's better to get the hair sewn in. It's healthier for you hair and it last longer (usually around 3 months). I think it's worth it, but my cousin does mine for me for about $60 plus the cost of hair (~$60).

Pros: change your hair style temporarily with damage. You can go short or long, Blonde or firehouse red, curly or straight, whatever your hearts desire. Weaves also can allow you hair to rest a little, because usually your hair is braided to you scalp.

There are also weaves that can be glued in and that can be for your whole head or just for length or embellishment. I've tried that to and its a little cheaper. I have gotten highlights by having my beautician glue a few pieces of hair onto my hair. It's fun and definitely worth it as long as it doesn't put a strain on your pocket!

So...CLIP IN HAIR EXTENSIONS?

how many times can you re-use them? do they fall out easily? (playing sports, walking to school, etc) thank you!

So...CLIP IN HAIR EXTENSIONS?

they last as long as the clip holds... same as any hair accessory. they look cool if you do them right tho, try it. salon extensions ruin your hair.

So...CLIP IN HAIR EXTENSIONS?

Gross no way! Why would you really want to walk around wearing fake hair?!

So...CLIP IN HAIR EXTENSIONS?

They are mostly the same quality as a sythetic wig, as long as you take care of them properly they can last for a long time, and as long as you have it clipped in properly and arent doing any activity (like jumping up and down) that could cause it to loosen you should be fine.

Hair weave/ extensions?

where can i purchase the extra extra extra long hair extensions/ weaves? are there any websites that offer these expensive pieces?? like 20 + inches?? thanks for your help.

Hair weave/ extensions?

go to ebay they have a bunch

What exactly are hair extensions? how much do they cost in the U.K?

It's like fake hair to make your hair seem longer. I want some myself too. As the girl said, you can buy them at Sally's Beauty Supply in any color you want. You can get them professionally done too. What I've heard is, that it's about more than $40 to get them professionally done. Here are some pictures of extensions :

How much do hair extensions generally cost?

Anybody?

How much do hair extensions generally cost?

I don't know I payed 450.00 in Flordia for fake hair. I would just call around to different salons in your area.

Tell me about hair extensions?

-price average

-wat you think about them

-are they good

-watkinds should i get

-everything elae about them

Tell me about hair extensions?

Ok first of all as with anything there are MANY types of hair extensions. The average professional price is normally charged, as it is in my salon, by an hourly rate. Normally around 100 dollars an hour.

There are safer extensions than others. There are types called (tracts) that are sewn into the hair using corn rows as a base to be sewn to. There are types that are attached by wax being heated with a styling tool to small areas of hair all over the hair. There are types that are attached with small metal clamps pressed again with a professional tool to small areas of hair. Some are better on the hair than others. There are real human hair extensions that can be curled, pressed, shampooed, etc. There are extensions that are non-human that can only be worn not shampooed, etc.

You must make a personal decision as to what you are willing to do to take care of them because they have to be cared for or you can damage your hair. They are beautiful and if done by a professional who is trained and licensed for their placement you will love them. Good luck

Tell me about hair extensions?

My friend got what she claims are the best

on the market - they were $1600. They last

about 6 months before they grow out and fall out.

I think they can be really pretty, if you don't get

something that's too extreme. Getting a style %26amp; shade

that matches your natural features is the best way to go.

They are extremely damaging to your natural hair,

so keep that in mind. They actually fuse the extensions

to your real hair, so that fries your hair. When they

do fall out, your hair will not be in as good of condition

as it was. My friend said it forced her to continue

getting new ones....which is costly.

Tell me about hair extensions?

I love mine! They're very sexy %26amp; people say I look 10 years younger with them! I have 5 different colors in mine (2 blondes, 2 reds, 1 brown that matches my base color)

They were $1300 upfront, plus $250 every 2-3 mo for "move-ups"

They're human hair with individual bonds - called the "Balmain system"

They require a lot of care - special shampoo, brushes, etc.

I set them with hot rollers and/or curling irons %26amp; wash about 1 per week

Make sure that you go to someone with a lot of experience - it's a big investment!

Scabbing after hair extensions sewn in! Is this normal?

Hey,

I just got extensions sewn into tiny cornrows that are very tight six days ago. I noticed that I had tiny little scabs near my ear/side of my head where the hair is being pulled the tightest. There is also redness at the roots too. This makes me nervous.

Is scabbing normal in the the beginning because of how tight it is? And the redness, a little bit of itchiness, and some small bumps? I've never had sewn in extensions or braids so tight.

What do you think? Anyone know if it's normal?

Got it done at a salon by the way.

Scabbing after hair extensions sewn in! Is this normal?

maybe u scratched ur head n u cut urself

Scabbing after hair extensions sewn in! Is this normal?

Yea a lot of my friends get tight cornrows and they have these little bumps and scabs. It means the braids are too tight. Use a type of braid spray or any other type of hair moistureizer like grease to help relieve your scalp. The braids are pulling your hair. And if you keep getting tight braids (especially around the edges), your hair could be pulled out or stop growing

Scabbing after hair extensions sewn in! Is this normal?

your hair was done way too tight. you should probably get it removed before you lose those hair follicles and hair growing there forever!

Scabbing after hair extensions sewn in! Is this normal?

i know it;s normal to get scabs after a relxer but not braiding it was done way to tight

I just bought hair extensions and i got clips but i dont know how to cut or sew them in... help?

I really think the best way to attach the hair to clips (or at least the easiest way) would be to hot glue them. If you want to sew them you just sew in a "Looping" fashion to the top part of the clip. Good Luck!

How long do hair extensions last? Are they ever permanent?

No, they are never permanent. They can last for a long time though.

The way I do them a person can leave them on somewhere around 4 months. Then if they have good quality hair (extensions) They can be re- tightened, to look like new.

It all depends on the hair, some hair wears out after the first few washings, and will feel like straw, Some hair is super good quality, and can last up to a year.

Their are several different ways to do extensions, and each of them last a different amount of time.

How long do hair extensions last? Are they ever permanent?

Unfortunately hair extensions are not permanent. I would have them looked at every 2 to 3 months or so.

How long do hair extensions last? Are they ever permanent?

they last about 6 weeks

How long do hair extensions last? Are they ever permanent?

they are not permanent ...if you take really good care of them they can last up till 3 months sometimes longer....

How long do hair extensions last? Are they ever permanent?

about 2 to 3 months i think and no there never permanent.

How long do hair extensions last? Are they ever permanent?

hair extensions are never permanent but there are many different options on how to put them in. you can glue them in (which will last 1-2 weeks), sew them in (which will last 1-2 months) , or clip them in.

if you use clips you can just put them on every morning and pretend they are permanent, the other 2 ways are more damaging for the hair but they will stay in better.

it is best, if you are going to glue or sew them in, to have a professional do it, which can get pricy, but it will save your hair some damage by getting it professionally done.

How long do hair extensions last? Are they ever permanent?

they aren't permenent you should have them looked @ every month or so

How long do hair extensions last? Are they ever permanent?

They last about 6mths and then they need to be changed. Don't go for cheap if you are considering it coz they look cheap and they probably won't be fitted good so you'll see them in the hair. E.g you don't want to look like lea from bb.

How long do hair extensions last? Are they ever permanent?

I have had the strand by strand extentions put in 4 times now and it depends how long they last in relation to how fast your hair grows and how well you take care of them. I am hooked on them and even though I now have long hair (almost 2 years of having them in) I still get a bundle put in for volume. The longest that I have ever had them in was almost 8 months and they still look fabulous, but I took AMAZING care of them. The shortest I ever had them was 4 1/2 months. It was during summer and my hair grew faster. Unfortunately, they are not permanent and they do cost a good deal of money for the real thing (human hair can cost $1,500-$2,500 a full head), but they are spectacular and they look better than your own natural hair. I would call around to higher end salons in your area and find a place that seems to work for you. Good luck!

How much would hair extensions be at a beauty school?

Would you think they would offer them? Just wondering how much they would be..... thanks! And how are they priced, like by length, color, or texture?

How much would hair extensions be at a beauty school?

I attended classes only to become a professional hair extensionist and not a cosmetologist. My school didn't sell the products we used because we practiced on mannequins quite a bit and you can find better quality hair elsewhere. But I really don't think you're going to come across many schools that sell the hair. Balmain Paris is one of the very few schools that do this and they are located all over Europe. There are so many options of hair to choose from so i'll go ahead and tell you the top sites I use to purchase hair, tools and supplies from. These suppliers sell directly to beauty schools, big name salons such as Great Lengths and S.O.Cap, and to regular clients. I buy from the UK suppliers because the prices and quality of the products are absolutely incredible and you're not going to find the same kind of stuff for better prices here in the States!! Assuming you live here that is.

Hair extensions do range in prices, depending on lengths mainly. They can be of any texture and any color imaginable. Sometimes the longer you go, the more expensive it gets. But, again I will say, the places I buy my products from are really generous about their prices. Extensions are so popular in Europe and the suppliers I talk to really aren't big on over-pricing their stuff. It just doesn't make sense. You shouldn't have to shell out thousands of dollars for great extensions. So many people will argue at this and say you get what you pay for. I think that applies more to the ones paying $1240-4000 for the high brand extensions. I was spending so much on the Great Lengths extensions that I finally had to chill out and recognize my budget and go elsewhere. That's when I took some classes and found where the big name salons are buying their stuff from.

^ Amy is one of my favorite suppliers. She is extremely helpful and will tend to any questions you have, any at all. She will answer back so quickly and will never leave you hanging or confused. The only problem with her products is that she sells out extremely quickly!! Her hair and products are in high demand, so a lot of the popular colors and lengths sell very fast.

^ I've bought from them many times so far and i've never once been disappointed. The money I spend is beyond fair and I would never in a million years be able to find better stuff in a cheap beauty supply store around my areas! Melanie and Payton are really fun girls and are extremely helpful. They've recently come out with a new type of hair known as "Euro Premier" which is selling for high dollar in Europe. I actually found out about Hair Doctor from a girl who did my Great Lengths at one point. Great place.

To convert pounds to dollars, simply double the cost, or visit http://www.xe.com/ucc to use their converter. It's very simple. I know that the places I have bought from only charge about $5-10 for shipping, no matter how much you spend.

If you're a little iffy about the different types of hair and different ways of applying the hair, clip in extensions are also great. I stick my nose up everytime to all of these dumb girls creating their own lines of clip ins such as Jessica Simpson. I do understand that this is my opinion though. Some people have had great results with her hair, I haven't.. and none of the people I have talked to have either. It can sometimes be of poor quality and I think the prices are ridiculous. http://www.headkandy.com offers so many great clip in pieces in any color and any length imaginable!! I know Jessica's and the Pop Pieces only go so long. Head Kandy offers a great picture gallery as well to show you different styles and such.

If nothing has helped you out, and you would like to know more, please email me and I will be more than happy to share with you anything you're curious about! Hair extensions can get a bad rep, and I think it's only because some people don't know what they're looking for, or how to find it! Some salons in your area might offer hair extensions, so look around and give someone a call. I personally think buying your own hair to take into a salon is the best option, but this is your hair and your decisions. Before going to school, I would have never thought about shopping on the internet for stuff until I stopped to realize that the big name brand salons have to buy their products from somewhere.. and I never knew where until I went to school and asked. The suppliers I mentioned are the best of the best, and more importantly they are wonderful to work with and trust. Best of luck!!

How much would hair extensions be at a beauty school?

high $ I'll say''

How much would hair extensions be at a beauty school?

It really all depends on where your located. If your in a city they will be alittle/alot more then in the country or town

How much would hair extensions be at a beauty school?

They would probably offer them, and they would definitely be cheaper than a salon because these "students" doing it aren't exactly certified...but there still really good, because remember, they are getting a grade for it. Probably 1/3 of the price of a regular salon extension.

How much would hair extensions be at a beauty school?

Do you mean individual strand hair extentions or weave tracks? Call your local beauty school and ask them. Since we're all scattered out across the country, any answers we give you would only be guesses. But I can guarantee you they'll be way cheaper than in a salon. Call the beauty schools in your area and ask them for their specifics on it...Find out whether or not you need to buy your own hair at the beauty supply place (which you probably do, cuz I doubt that a beauty school will have any hair on hand to sell).
