Glued in hair extensions?

I had a very bad experience with these and was wondering if anyone had been through something similar in regard to hairloss due to extensions. Mine seems as though it is slowly recovering but I am 20 years old and wonder how long it will truly take to get back to the way that it was. The outer layer of my hair was basically unnaffected (aside from the ends) while the inner layers are now short and rather sparse. I do not have any bald spots. I was wondering if someone went through something similar and how long it tooked for them to notice that their hair was recovering.

hariloss due to extensions is common, especially if u dont remove them properly and use them for extended periods of time. there is glue remover made especially for hair glue, and shampoo for that as well hopefully someone did not cut your hair to help remove the extensions and it does take awhile for your hair to grow back, but if you continue with using the extensions and dont allow time for your hair to grow back you can eventually cause the hair loss to be permanent

your hair grows an inch every 6wks.. if i were you i would just buy volumizing products. plus sometimes some people feel like they lost alot of hair because since they were wearing extension they loose alot of the thickness that they got from them

I had extensions (glued) in for a year. I had them maintained regularly, but when I took them out, a lot of my own hair came out with them. It was very thin, and a couple of months later, my hair started falling out like mad. That went on for like 3 months and stopped. Now It Is finally growing back, I'll never do that again!!!!!

I had glued in hair extensions for about 3 months. I couldn't wait to get them out. They itched so bad!! My hair is so thick that I didn't notice any missing. It took about 6 months though to fix the damage of all the solutions.

braids, weaves, extensions, hair glue, perms........black people's hair was never meant to be tortured with these things.............lock up your hair and wear it naturally. it will be longer and heathier and you won't have to go broke buying all those hair products :-)
