Scabbing after hair extensions sewn in! Is this normal?

Hey,

I just got extensions sewn into tiny cornrows that are very tight six days ago. I noticed that I had tiny little scabs near my ear/side of my head where the hair is being pulled the tightest. There is also redness at the roots too. This makes me nervous.

Is scabbing normal in the the beginning because of how tight it is? And the redness, a little bit of itchiness, and some small bumps? I've never had sewn in extensions or braids so tight.

What do you think? Anyone know if it's normal?

Got it done at a salon by the way.

Yea a lot of my friends get tight cornrows and they have these little bumps and scabs. It means the braids are too tight. Use a type of braid spray or any other type of hair moistureizer like grease to help relieve your scalp. The braids are pulling your hair. And if you keep getting tight braids (especially around the edges), your hair could be pulled out or stop growing

your hair was done way too tight. you should probably get it removed before you lose those hair follicles and hair growing there forever!
