my natural hair is dark brown. if i wanted to put in honey blonde clip in hair extensions. can i create the look, having the blonde at top layer and my natural colour at bottom?

The clip ins are great. Human hair can be colored whatever color you want. Buy the lightest color they come if you're going to color them yourself. I suggest taking them to a color specialist though. You can't achieve the all blond on top look and dark undernieth with them(if that's what you meant). They clip in close to the scalp, but not enough where you wouldn't be able to tell they're fake without covering them with another layer of your own hair.

They do work really well, depeding on what brand you use or you can make your own. Make sure to really hide them under your hair though. I know someone who knows how to make them really well.

Clip in extensions are beyond tacky and obvious. If you must weave; weave properly and get either a sew in or a glue in weave.
