Is getting hair extensions a good idea?

i'm growing my short hair long and right now it's on its worst lenght,not too short and not long enough that i can style it,since i have a fine hair does anyone know getting long hair extensions is a good idea or not?

you and i share the same problem...... fine hair... difficult to find a good style because its too short for short styles and too long for long styles....... but i had extensions for about 10 months... they were a ton of fun... i had both braided and fusion [glued] i recommend fusion because they are better for your hair.... braids break off the hair. just find the right stylist........ and make sure she layers it to look as natural as possible

They can be OK if you find a stylist who knows what they're doing and can keep your hair healthy.

Otherwise you can damage your hair and they only way to fix it will be to cut it.

I personally love extensions! The only problem i run into with them is that they are kind of expenisive to maintain but if your only using them for a little while then you shouldn't run into that problem.

Also look up some sites on the internet that explain the process and how to take care of them to make sure your ready to make that commitment.

No its a bad idea. sooner or later you want them out and next thing you know your hair is frizzy and ruined for a very long time. then you may end up having to stick to extensions. LOVE YOUR HAIR THE WAY IT IS!!!

It depends. There are two different kinds..the type they glue onto your scalp which hurt..but not as much as the kind where they braid it into your hair.the only problem is the kind that they glue on look..less real. The ones that are braided also cost more but look real. I want extensions really bad. My mom is a cosmotolgist. She told me if you have the money to spend on the braided one it is better. they are DEFFINTELY a good idea.

I have never had extensions but if you want to get your hair long temporarily without the break in your paycheck go to sally's beauty supply and get the SASSY collection all natural hair collection. Match you hair color, pick the length you want and get the hair clips, needle, and hair thread. It should be in a red package and all the other stuff should be in the same area. Then to unroll all the hair and measure the hair strip from ear to ear. Double the strips so it's thick enough. Sew the to hair strips together for one strip. then sew the clips to the hair. Then your done. all you have to do is separate your hair underneath into a couple of very small ponytails (use a comb to separate it best). Clip the hair along the ponetail from ear to ear. Then you have temporary extensions. I use mine all the time and people have no idea. Just make sure you get the natural hair not the synthetic. All of it cost about 30 dollars.

YES. I have So.cap extensions and they are terrific! I have an appointment to get them re done next wednesday. They are pricey though...but they last 3-5 months and you can color, iron, blowdry, brush, style them however. And they stay in.

But I got them because my hair was breaking in HALF because of all the flatironing, if your hair is healthy and grows fast then maybe you shouldn't spend money.
