Hair extensions?!!?

i want information on hair extensions. like, what the different kinds are, how long they last for, price ranges... just general stuff like that.

Hair extensions?!!?

Hello!

There are many types of extensions.

1* Fusion method- the hair is glued on to individual strands of your own hair. Can last up top 3 or 4 months if you take good care of them. Run anywhere between $300-500(where i live Sacramento,Ca) They tend to pull on the hair and are a little uncomfortable at first, also they tend to get matted if you don't take care of them.

2* Wefts, these are also glued, but are on a track instead of individual strands. Can last up to 2 months or so if taken care of( i personally don't like this method it tends to pull on the hair, look bulky and not last) starts around $100-300

3*Braid or weaved. This is best for African Americans because it tends to be braided similar to cornrows. It looks great on them! Can be priced around $50-200

4* Clamped, the hair is pulled through with the extension and then clamped on to individual strands, very similar to the fusion method, but no gross glues or tugging on the scalp. around $200-$500

All these methods tend to be priced very differently depending on where you may live, the length of your hair, the length you want it to be, if you want it thicker and the method you use. Typically the best way to find out pricing is to call salons and ask them.

The hair comes in many lengths too anywhere from 10 inches to i believe 40 inches

And the cost of hair may very on texture and length.

Hope this helps

well hair exts.. for white ppl and black ppl are different but the colors are numbered like I wear a redish blonde (27) or a brownish red (30) the come in straight, wavy, or curly. You can sew them in or have them glued in. Sewed lasts way longer and the bonding glue is hard to wash out coz it gets sticky. They come in short lengths like 12 inch or 10 inch or very long like 20, 22, 30, 40 inch etc. The longer the track the less hair tends to be in a back. Cornrows for sew in extensions can be painful and tight so if you're scalp is sensitive... hope this is helpful. they last as long as you're able to take care of them...yes you can curl, wash, and style them.
